What was the answer to the one that asked for the length of side AB?

Let’s start a list guys!

F(x)=ax^3+bx^2 ANS: range is all reals and two distinct zeros (I and III only)

F(a+1)=-1, F(a)=0,
ANS: -1

Number of times the populations the same ANS: 6

Cone volume ANS:14.3

Lowest value of 3+cosA ANS: 3.71

Number of zeros of f(x)*g(x) ANS: 2, 3, or 4

64/25

stamping time if combined = 27 hours

(-2, 5) center of conic

interval -1 < x < -2

recursive sequence = 2^16

odd function is tan(x)

sphere with volume sum of spheres with radius 3, 4, and 5 - radius was 6

z = 0 is the set of pts equidistant (0,0,5) and (0,0,-5)

For the time at 60 mph it was (240-80t)/60 = 4 -(4/3)t

11 for the one about (6n plus or -1) is prime

3 for the one asking which has x+2 values less than x^2

3n-1 sequence, a1 is 7? (dont remember)

whatever 4sin(32)/sin(58) is. The numbers may be slightly off, but that was the gist of it

will the math II curve for this be 43 raw score-800?

can someone explain why z=0 is the right answer for the set of points equidistant from (0,0,5) and (0,0,-5)?

smallest angle of 5-12-13 triangle = 23 degrees

Which cannot be the sum? ANS: 150 degrees

log base x of 216=3, x = 6

Sum of area of rectangles ANS: 21.0

@MelzidEril

To get the heights you needed to take the natural log values for x^2. The bases of the rectangles formed were all 2, so the answer was 21 when you added all the areas.

@michael2013:

Here are 4 more that were mentioned:

Log (pr^2) ANS: 11

Which cannot be the sum? ANS: 150 degrees

Log equation ANS: 6

Sum of area of rectangles ANS: 21.0

Can you tell me more about 19 and 20 on your list? I don’t remember them.

michael im thankful for your list but arent you concerned collegeboard will cancel your score? D:

anyone remember the question with ln(x) touching graph of 3 rectangles, and they asked for area of rectangles?

@WalruSeth:
OK, but why were the heights f(4), f(6) and f(8) and not f(2), f(4), and f(6)?

@Melzid
19) it asked something like
Which of the following values of x has (x+2) values less than (in value) x^2
20) i dont really remember lol, u were given a3 and a5 i think

Can u explain these questions, I dont remember:
23. Log equation ANS: 6
24. Sum of area of rectangles ANS: 21.0

F**** i got so much wrong. here I was hoping for a 800 -_-

Were the rectangles under the curve (inscribed) or did part of each rectangle go higher than the curve?

… the standard deviation question is 1 and3. the last pt made about how if one of the lowest numbers were 0 then it would decrease. Well it can’t be 0 cuz the average is 87 something. They have to be around the range…

@michael AFAIK, the log equation was log base x of 216=3. That can be rewritten as 3^x=216.

The rectangles all have their heights drawn so the that right side of the rectangle matches the function, not the left side. With that in mind, the heights are 4, 6, and 8 instead of 2, 4, and 6.

@Melzid

The curve crossed the heights of the rectangles at 4, 6, and 8.

@michael2013
23. was log base x of 216 = 3. solve for x
24. I got 15.5 for it, but everyone I asked got 21.0, and I’m trying to figure out why. The curve was y = ln x^2. Maybe I did the problem as if it were a sum of inscribed rectangles when they weren’t. Did a part of each rectangle extend above the curve?

Can someone explain what problem 23?

@ihatesatmat
The average of nine 87.3’s and one 0 is 78.6, which is what I think they told you the mean had to be.
