<p>A couple of the people that have gotten into production recently don’t have a lot of production experience. Most of them just have a lot of talent in expressing themselves and really amazing personalities. I think that is what showed through on their applications the most. This isn’t a job application, this is an application for a school so I think they were more worried about what they could do with you as opposed to what you had already done.</p>
<p>^^ that is definently SC’s approach. They want to make you into a filmmaker they don’t want a filmmaker who has already made up their mind about everything.</p>

<p>Hey congratulations unefemme and candy45! If everything holds up with the theory, you should be having a good Saturday or Monday. Perhaps today will be a good update day for all of us SCA’s (particularly production it would seem). Nothing here yet tho.</p>

<p>I got accepted to USC as undeclared on Thursday, still waiting to find out if I’ll be in production or not, but I just got my status date changed. The status still says I’m under review, and my oasis link didn’t go away, but now the date says “03/28/09” anyone know what this means?</p>
<p>I’m asssuuuummmming it means that SCA has been reviewing you app. If you already got accepted as undeclared, they’re obviously done with your overall app, so it’s only your SCA supplemental meterials that are left to be reviewed. If that makes sense? I’m bad at explaining things.</p>
<p>Thanks unefemme- we will see what SCA has in store for me, let us know if anything comes in the mail today! (mine comes in about 2 hours)</p>
<p>Btw, unefemme have you tried logging into the ExploreUSC link? Definitely give that a go, because some other people who got the OASIS link have been able to log in…which is a REALLY good sign.</p>

<p>haha, okay well if you can get into that you are in for sure. If not my guess is you are a spring admit.</p>
<p>FilmFanatic- I have a feeling that spring admits probably won’t be updated until the first week of april. Lots of spring admits didn’t get their letters until the first or second week of april last year…and they are behind this year.</p>
<p>I dont think they are behind anymore. The adcoms have been working day and night to keep up to their april 1st date. My friend just got his letter and is a spring admit.</p>
<p>FilmFanatic- Are there spring admits for SCA undergrad production? I thought that there was only spring admission to the MFA production program. Don’t know where I heard that though.</p>
<p>I don’t think that SCA does spring admits. The only reason other colleges do is because so many kids leave to study abroad in spring so they can take some more students.</p>
<p>SCA does do spring admit–not sure about production, but the guy I know in SCA critical studies was a spring admit.</p>
