Although I’ve never been, I kind of wish I had applied to UC Davis instead of UCSB.

I wish I had applied to Davis, period! I think I’d choose it over UCSD… Maybe…

It looks like such a quaint little town!

evan, if you go to ucsd will you still do urban studies and planning? I want to double major it up! That is if I go there…

I have actually fallen back in love with Anthropology!

oh wow…you are all over the place.

I know it D:

It’s quiet tonight!

HELLO! lol.

@ evan: I love Davis. I actually was picking between applying there and UCSB, and I chose Davis because of how kind and amiable everyone is there.

davis really is pretty nifty. I’m going up there for picnic day! Sidenote: I’m really kicking myself in the face for not applying to UCLA.

@ emilsinclair9: I don’t mean to sound condescending but I’m certain you’d find lots of nice people at any UC! (but of course you’d know that lol). I still hope you get into Cal

@ theregoesevan:

Haha, what made you suddenly fall back for it? Storing up dorm-room points for the Fall when you meet her face to face?

I’m only kidding

@ Oliver: lol I was waiting for someone to nail me for that. In my post I was actually going to write exactly what you just said, but I figured that everyone already knew that :p. Cyclical logic I guess lol.

My decision to apply to Davis instead is based off of anecdotal experience rather than a generalization. My bad for not explaining that. I experienced an extremely warm, friendly vibe at Davis, and in no way was I intending to discredit UCSB. They’re both great schools.

@theregoesevan i think you went to my high school.

If I don’t get into UCSD I guess I’m going to Davis. But I’m really scared to move so far away and be on my own for the first time. I don’t know if I can handle it. I have serious bouts of depression, so I don’t know if moving so far out of my comfort zone is good for me.

@ enchanted: I understand where you’re coming from. I’ve had/even sometimes have similar experiences. I have a feeling you could handle it though; you always seem so confident! Plus, Davis is such a great town and school. Everyone that I know there loves it, and it has so much pride! Take the Aggie Pack for example! Davis even has its own iphone app and the largest “wiki” site in the world. Davis was my dream school until I realized I had a shot at Cal. Now that I’ve been admitted to Davis, I’m so happy, but alas I still wait in intense apprehension for Cal.

Random late night post: I would be completely honored to go to any UC but I’m pretty sure I’d sell at least a tiny part of my soul or body to get into Stanford…

:(

^Thanks! Yeah, I do have issues but I’ve had them for longer than I can remember so I just sort of adapted. I can deal with my s h i t and I don’t feel the need to shove my problems into everyone else’s faces haha. Well I am thinking about it. Davis is all right. I’m like 60% sure that I’ll go there if I don’t get accepted to SD. Haha if neither of us gets into our top choices, I guess we’ll see each other at Davis. Meeeetup! :)

damn where is everyone…
