* The Official UC Transfer Late-night Discussion Thread*

Yeaaa loooooser. Haha good night everyone

Man haha drunk CC posting…an experience I have yet to encounter.

Oh and audioslavery definitely has the right idea :).

LOL if ur talking bout me, i dont drink, but i see how it can be taken like that hahaha

this is just becuz i have to…BERKELEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

yo xelink, since you seem to just be ■■■■■■■■ – giving others the arrogant attitude that plagues people like the members of the G.O.P – and have already gone through the make or break part of your application process, how about going outside so you can enjoy the scenery before you take your dumbed down classes at UCI? Since you live in the vicinity of Irvine, go ■■■■■ Irvine Spectrum, or The District, or hell, take a run up to suicide hill near University High/UCI; yes, i live in the area. Seriously, people here have aspirations and expectations above UCI. Granted, many of them truly aren’t smart enough to succeed in that type of environment, but let them go on their jolly way; there are stupid people at any prestigious university. Take your asinine comments away from here. You’re not trying to spark dissent – we are all here to talk about pending applications; we’re not here to listen to your snide comments on how you’re going to UCI and you don’t give a **** about CAL, LA, SD, etc.

You claim to be smart and that your standard deviation for your calculations on IQ are representative of intelligence. You may be smart, but you haven’t grown up. For the record, IQ is calculated Mental Age/Actual Age x 100. Since you seem to have the mentality of an aspiring 12 year old who is bent on wreaking havoc for some who are already on an emotional rollercoaster, you sure don’t seem to have the IQ of someone who claims to have as high an IQ as you state you do.

If your day has come, then just leave the others be.

Edit: IQ has no purpose determining intelligence, it merely maps out potential and the “limits” of our individual intelligence. If you knew anything about IQ, you wouldn’t be spouting that kind of crap in any reasonable fashion; your IQ lowers every year correlating with how much you learned/how much you could have learned.

UCI.
not dream school.
it’s the school I live within running distance of.

I’m cheap.
my dream school was princeton. I kinda slacked since my freshman year of highschool though(A+ average went to… umm not A+ average and going to a CC)
I don’t really have a dream school. I shot below what I could based on the premise that I’d regret spending money, having to get a new job, and giving up driving if I didn’t.

south coast plaza is closer than the spectrum though. And I’d rather work 50 hours this week, I’m on spring break.

and I know that IQ tests don’t accurately measure intelligence of an individual. They do a reasonably good job of measuring the intellect of a group though, and if you really do prefer I could use percentages, but they feel less convenient since you can’t really use statistics calculations on them so easily since you’d need to somehow quantize the percentile. If it makes you happy, I want someone between the 99th 99.75th percentile. Those numbers don’t really say much to me I like concrete numbers. Assuming a 15 point deviation… that works out roughly to 135-143. That’s my preferred range, I’m not going to comprise on it much.

I’m aiming more at those who appear to correlate school selection and phallic size.

4:23 am and im back on here LOLL

if you move within an apartment complex near UCs, you can be within running distance for those as well.

ah yes, dream school princeton – the school for scrubs compared to HYS. Stating you had an A+ average doesn’t mean much. Plenty of people are able to attain that especially in the joke we call the high school public education system.

Regretting to spend money on a good education is one of the lamest, dumbest, ignorant statements i hear all around. If you get a good education – despite the cost – the chances of making that money back and reaping exponential rewards from it are magnitudes higher than going to a mid tier school like UCI

lol k

even if i was a girl, i’d be a bit out of that range. 148 :(

Speaking of ■■■■■■ Fenris, don’t belittle people that are happy to go to UCI. This might not be your intent, but you are (at least) inadvertently doing it while making your point.

Ugh… So i wish I actually did post more on here rather than send some of the text I did… Oh well four and a half months and I’m outta this town!

this makes me lolz

@Fenris, although I highly doubt it, do you think there is an iq society for people sitting at our range?

there are quite a few in our range and above as well as below. all of them require tests – logic/iq/proprietary – for admission

Edit: you don’t want to join though; they’re mainly losers that pretty much only try to accumulate degrees in various fields of interest. there’s no point in that if you’re not going to apply theoretical practices in practicality.

15 point or 16 point deviation? on a test with a 15 point deviation, that’d place you at 145.

where’d you get your score too? I’m basing my range off of comparison to my pears and I’d been at 3 different high schools, determine that I was within the top 5 most intelligent students among roughly 600 students and assuming I was in the middle of those 5, then assuming I’m a bit too prideful and knocking myself down a little.

@ xelink: I don’t normally compare myself to fruit < “pears” ;p. Also, the more intelligent people on this board don’t bother trifling with your ■■■■■■■■ rants. We simply ignore you, or choose to turn the other cheek. I know your methodology for calculating your IQ is meant to be a joke, so I won’t even comment on that haha.

Anyway, I have a funny story!

In my Experimental Psych class there’s this guy who always sits next to me. He has long hair, he’s lanky, wears glasses that look more like spectacles, and I would classify him as your stereotypical pseudo-intellectual. I was talking to my friend in the class about GPA for some reason, and the pseudo-intellectual guy goes, “GPA doesn’t reflect IQ!”

haha it just came out of nowhere. We hadn’t even mentioned IQ. From there, I said that one’s GPA often correlates with IQ. At this point, he sort of rolled his eyes and returned to whatever excessively large book he was pretending to read.

Later, when we were talking about schools we were planning on transferring to, he said that he’s planning on transferring to UCSF…So then I say, “That’s a grad/med school though”. To this he responds, “No it’s not; that’s not what I’ve heard.”

Ahh I love the people that lie about where they want to “transfer” to. This guy clearly has no knowledge of what UCSF even is, let alone what or why he would study there. I just thought it was funny - reminded me of xelink ;p.

xelink- i dont think the word prideful is the word you should be using.
CONCEITED is more accurate.

Good story. going to the gym now, but ill catch ya

emil: i ignore his incessant ■■■■■■■■ as well – i don’t care much for it. he’s just taking up space as well as unwanted reading for meaningful replies. i don’t like reading an entire page commenting on how mean/arrogant/stupid/etc xelink is

Whats goin on here, are we burning a ■■■■■ at the stake or something? Need a match?

ignores serious topic

nom nom nom Ahhh… A belly full of Domino’s pizza, a good workout waiting for me in the morning, and a weekend full of feasting and drinking ahead… Does life get any better than this? I’m so content, I don’t know if I’ll be able to stay up much lonzzzzzzzzzZZZzzzzz

Hahaha I’m with you Kernl!! This is going to be one fun week! First drinking will occur tomorrow, second, Saturday, etc.

Perhaps I will even grace this, my favorite forum, with a drunk forum post :0
And what will I say??

“hesy gise i migte beee troipping buut ii ahd a deram aasnnd i wuzsa iini aaat BERKELEY!!”

And of course I’d spell Berkeley perfectly, even while drunk, because obsession transcends mere alcohol.
