@WallTitan117 Unfortunately UMich would be a rather high reach for you. Your GPA and test scores are below the admission range. Michigan has banned Affirmative Act in admission.

[*] Other Factors/questions:

@RHSclassof16 UMich LSA would be a reach for your from OOS. Both your GPA and SAT are below admission average by slightly above 25th percentile.
@Defeat Your test score and GPA are both within the admission range and above average, but the OOS admission rate at CoE is in the teens.
@blucas Your school is really tough. Top of the class still only gets 3.6 in GPA. You do need help from your GC LOR and school profile report though. Your ACT is below admission average. From OOS, it would be a reach for you.

[ *] College (LSA, engineering, etc.): LSA - Ross Pre-Admit
[ *] SAT (one Sitting): n/a
[ *] ACT: 33, 33 (32E 30M 32R 36S & 35E 30M 33R 34S)

[ *] Essays: creative, good hopefully
[ *] Teacher Recs:
[ *] Counselor Rec: We aren’t allowed to read our letters, but I’m assuming they’re decent
[ *] Hook (legacy, recruited athlete, etc.):
[ *] Location/Person:
[ *] State or Country: Wisconsin
[ *] School Type: Private, Catholic
[ *] Ethnicity: White
[ *] Gender: Female
[ *] major strength/weakness: I’m not sure if this counts, but I had slightly downward trending grades my junior year, although this is mostly due to increased rigor. By Michigan’s gpa calculations I had a 4.0 through my sophomore year and then my junior year I got 2 B’s first semester (AP Biology and Honors Trig/ Pre-Calc) and 1 second semester (Shakespeare).

@GoPack87 You have a downward trend in GPA that may have a small impact. For Ross pre-admit, your credential is within the range but not really outstanding, while their admission rate is very low. However, they consider EC and your background more than your test score/GPA once you are in the range. It is a reach for anyone due to low admission rate. For LSA, it would be a very high match as the OOS admission rate is around 20%.

@Salutation Your GPA is fine while your ACT is right at the admission median. The main concern is your math section score at or below the 25th percentile at CoE. Together with the low admission rate and you are from OOS, CoE would be a low reach to reach for you. If you have a great SAT2 Math2 score, it may help. Let’s hope your September score will be better. If you have submitted your previous score, I would not worry about the delay of September score. It should arrive before application review.
@StandardUsername LSA should be an easy match for you, but Ross is hard to predict. Do you have any EC that would make you an interesting candidate? In state student has little advantage there.

Besides LEAD and a summer internship, not really :frowning:

@thejappster Both your GPA and ACT are right at the admission median. Considering the 20% OOS admission rate, it would be a low reach for you.
