toastmaster, you should have been on the list of high admits, leading me to think that 1. either your application is not complete, or 2. they lost a part of your application, have you called them and asked if your application is complete?

uofm33
what school do you goto?
plymouth-canton … which is like three schools… or?
you stats are a slight reach imo.
low gpa, average sat, but rank is good.

^sospiro I will have take 12 ap’s by the end of my snr year. I also have a very prestigious summer program too (SSP)
I applied oct 30 lol. But they sent me an email on nov 4th saying they have all my stuff. I am guessing my teachers recs and sat scores took a lil bit longer to reach. I am still early though right? They said POSTMARK Recs by NOV 1st if i am not mistakened.

I’d say it’s a very good chance then, since you qualify for ER

but just in case, if you haven’t done so yet, be sure to check wolverine access to see if all your materials have been received

Thanks in advance =)

Fuzzylogic2525

Wolverine access says everythings in, I have:

All of my tests and
Transcript High School Received 10/29/2008
Tests Received 10/15/2008
HS Teacher Recommendation Received 10/22/2008
HS Counselor Recommendation Received 10/29/2008

What else?

^ you’re good then

lcschelle…your scores on the standardized tests tell me no, but if your grades are really good you should have a fair shot. also, definitely put caucasian on your application if you have to (i think you could just put international???).

ggts…i would say you have a decent shot. i just got in with similar stats.

Hey, this is kinda random, but on my application status page it says that my “Academic Plan” is undeclared even though I clearly filled in a major. Is undeclared the same thing as an undecided major?

you don’t apply to a specific major

lol, nevermind. I must’ve gotten the Michigan app mixed up w/ some other college’s.

Could someone please chance my daughter? We’re getting nervous because she hasn’t heard anything yet.

UMich GPA - approx 3.6
weighted GPA - 3.94
ACT - 30
SAT - 2090
Class rank - 7/245

mostly honors/AP class load
tons of ECs (lead in HS plays etc.)

oh and she’s in-state

If ER, then likely in. If not, then I would say it’s still more likely than not that she will be accepted, but not a guarantee.

okk thanks. and why caucasian?? raise my chance of getting in better because… there are more asians there or what?

to be blunt…all colleges do some reverse discrimination against asians because there are so many applicants.
coming from a very diverse school i have seen caucasians not as qualified get into schools above more qualified asians.

Two questions also:
1 - I took the SAT on Nov 1 of senior year and I reported it on the app. Michigan already had my ACT from when I took it as a junior. Will they wait for my SATs before making a decision, and if so, will I still qualify for ER since the score reports get there well after the ER deadline?

2 - I was born in Minnesota and I also had to report this on the app. It showed me a list of conditions to review and said if any of them applied to me, I would have to send in extra forms (list had things like “do parents work out of state”, “have they worked out of state in past X months”… etc). None of them applied to me. On wolverine access, the U-M Residence status says “Pending”. Can anyone in a similar situation tell me how long it took them and if this affects ER?

Thank you for your time

svtcobra…i would say in-state you have a good shot.
i don’t think they would wait to see your nov SAT scores, but if they receive it before they make a decision then yes. i mean, i don’t know if that is what they do, but that is what i would assume…
