@BSM1987 Your GPA is a bit low for CoE admission (avg 3.9) while your ACT is right at the admission average of last year. It is good that you are from in state and is legacy. It should be a high match for you. Just keep your upward trend in GPA. Do apply EA although there is a chance of deferral.

I think you all have a chance! However, how much of a chance is beyond me lol.
But really.
@senna4ever You seem to be a match
@gberrios27 You could be a match considering your URM status.
@BSM1987 You’re probably a high match to low reach.

Guys, take my predictions with no more than a grain of salt. You all have a good chance of getting in if your application is well put together. Good luck!

Thanks for the replies billcsho and Fri612. Senior year is going well so far. Hoping not to have to go through the deferral process.

@Fri612 Just want to remind you that the Affirmative Action in admission has been banned in Michigan. URM does not give as much advantage as it used to be.

@BSM1987 No problem—glad to see senior year is going well for you!

@billcsho Yes, I know that Affirmative Action is no more, but I do believe that—if I’m not mistaken—URM status does still help. That’s why I said @gberrios27 could be a match. I appreciate the heads up though.

@Fri612 UMich does not release detail racial admission data anymore. However, from the percentage of African American in the total applicant pool in the past and in the current total enrolled student population, it does not seem to give too much advantage in admission after the ban.

@argo2015 Your GPA is right at the admission average while your ACT and SAT are slightly below admission average. UMich would be a low reach for you from OOS.

@Mirm57 Your GPA and course rigor are good while your ACT is at the admission average although your SAT1 and SAT2 are mediocre. UMich CoE should be a very high match to low reach for you from OOS due to the low admission rate.

@Swackjack For in state student with ACT 32, GPA 3.72 and good course rigor applying to LSA, you should be a high match to match. Your GPA is a little bit low but your course rigor may help you to overcome that. Your ACT is slightly above average.

@alafae Admission to Music school depends on your audition. It may be hard for international, but you should ask them if they accept recording/video. I know a few international students admitted to the Music school previously and they all came for audition in person though.

@Trochaic Are you from out of state? Your GPA is a bit low while your SAT is within the upper mid 50. It would be a low reach to very high match for you.

@blimab Your ACT is slightly below admission average while your GPA is slightly above admission average for CoE. It should be a match for you from in state with legacy. UMich does not require SAT2, so one score is fine.

@billcsho I’m not worried about the music school really. It’s the admission to LSA- they have separate admissions

Can someone chance me for LSA Honors? I think I can make it into the regular college, but I’m wondering if I’ll get accepted to Honors. Thanks!
