^^^ are those actually food to humans ? Blech !!!
Ever heard of the Masai?
Or the British?
Lots of people never developed a taste for peanut butter & think it’s disgusting.
I think it is just what you get used to.
I’m pretty adventurous, but there are a few flavors that I just don’t like in any form, especially liver, rye bread, and licorice. One time a fancy restaurant tasting menu featured all three! I still didn’t like them. I don’t like a rubbery texture much, either.
As for Brussels sprouts–I always hated them, too, until my wife got some really fresh ones at the farmer’s market (still on the stalk) and roasted them. It was like a totally different vegetable. Even “fresh” ones from the supermarket have that gross cabbage-y taste, but the really fresh ones didn’t.
I would eat congealed blood before I would eat a sea cucumber
Roadkill…fresh or aged.
I hate the boxed ‘Helpers’ meals like Hamburger Helper and Tuna Helper. I’ve tried them a couple of times and I can’t stand the stuff. If someone ever prepared for me a ‘Roadkill Helper’ meal…I’d have a heart attack instantly.
When I was younger, I was one of the ones who thought cilantro tasted like soap. Friends thought I was nuts. Now I can eat it with no soap taste at all. My system must have changed over the years.
Mr. B would not touch Nutella! I know many folks who hate PB, but he is the only Nutella hater known to me.
mmmmmmmm . . . . Nutella . . . when I was an exchange student in Hamburg in HS they ate Nutella on black bread at breakfast mmmmmmmmmmmm surprisingly good
Nutella is a high-calorie crack mmmmm…
Shut up about calories would you?! It’s Fat Tuesday! Calories don’t matter until tomorrow. That means that if I polish off the ice cream tonight it’s completely off the record. We partying!!! <:-P
Nutella - a staple at our breakfast table. Even now, when I come to the US, I have a few jars packed in my bag (the stuff you buy here is not quite the same).
On a related note, RIP Michele Ferrero, the founder of Nutella
I wouldn’t say I hate it, but I don’t like Nutella. I like the idea of it, but don’t like the hazelnut taste. I have made Ebelskivars with it, but no one ate them
I can’t stand the texture of oatmeal or cream of wheat. I have tried them both over the years, but can barely swallow down a bite.
Was just going to share the sad loss of the developer of nutella, but skieurope beat me to it. He also developed those round Ferrer-rocher chocolates wrapped in the gold wrapping. Both have hazlenut and are yummy!
I am not a fan of spicy food. Make a food spicy, I will pass. Ruins perfectly good food.
Yuck to licorice or anise flavoring.
Yuck to shredded coconut.
And I am majorly grossed out when people roast marshmallows for s’mores and put the marshmallow in the flame so it catches fire, and then they blow it out and eat the charred marshmallow.
Add me to the short list of Nutella haters. I just don’t get it. To me, it’s sickeningly sweet, and I can’t stand anything hazelnut flavored.
You can mail your Nutella to me!
There’s a plan- trade the things we dislike for what we like. I’ll happily trade olives and liver for nutella and brussel sprouts
Once when I made pot roast my then about 3rd grade son worked a deal to trade his meat for his big sister’s brussel sprouts. Everyone was happy.
