the title is self-explanatory:
they say ‘tell us about… your favourite etc.’ - this does mean we’re supposed to explain why a choice is a favourite, right? and also, what’s the word limit for this question? im assuming 500 words, because that seems to be the general limit for most responses, but if im wrong, enlighten me please.
thanks in advance.

If I were the admissions counselor, I would like to a list that was a little more descriptive than:

Raffi’s Greatest Hits
Goodnight Moon
Pat the Bunny
Pocahontas

I don’t want to suggest that there’s a certain way you should or should not write your essay, but I would say that a straight list with no explanation at all is probably not the best way.

^ That’s pretty descriptive! Of course, it’s kind of an automatic rejection in my opinion, but only because of the Raffi. (Raffi = indefensible.)

On the other hand, I would think the following list, without explanation, would be a huge plus in any application:

Pat the Bunny
Runaway Bunny
The Bunny Hop
Peter Rabbit
Bugs Bunny
Life In Hell
Watership Down
Rabbit-Proof Fence
The Flaming Lips
Animal Collective
Buffy The Vampire Slayer: The Musical
Conill amb Cargols

But I loved Baby Beluga!

As they used to say when “Baby Beluga” was current, gag me with a spoon! Ugh. When my kids were young, I was really into kid lit and kid tunes, but I never, ever, was able to tolerate Raffi (or Barney, or Thomas The Tank Engine for that matter).

Give me Sharon, Lois, and Bram, or give me death.

JHS, you’d change your mind about Thomas the Tank Engine stories if you read them in the original British version…lots of lovely vocab!
Ringo Starr and George Carlin narrating the videos was a real hoot, too.
