S’Mores Taco??? Don’t knock it until you see it!!! Marshmellow, undercooked brownie…
The taco would probably taste good but I wouldn’t call that a s’more. When I think of a s’more I think of something I would have on a camping trip. A classic s’more requires no utensils, no pan- just a long stick.
If I shove the piece of dark chocolate in my mouth, it melts so I don’t need to embed it in a marshmallow. Then I put the second piece with the marshmallow and graham crackers as usual. Ta da!!
@powercropper You set up the graham cracker and chocolate like an open face sandwich with the top cracker at the side. Then you toast the 'mallow separately. When the marshmallow is ready, you use the top cracker to smoosh the toasted marshmallow onto the waiting chocolate/bottom cracker. The heat from the marshmallow melts the chocolate on the way to your mouth.
I could never do the embedding-while-toasting thing because I want more chocolate than that!
My S, however, can’t eat chocolate because it triggers his migraines. He uses white chocolate chips or butterscotch chips held in place by a thin schmear of peanut butter or caramel sauce.
I must also confess that I have occasionally pushed a few chocolate chips into the center of a marshmallow and microwaved it. It’s not really a worthy substitute for a toasted s’more, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
