Who’s Badnarik?

Libertarian candidate for President in 2004.

I would love to see a Clinton/Clinton too… just to hear the howls from all the Republicans for 4 (probably 8) years.

Does anyone know why the (NH) primary ballot provided an option for voters to vote for a vice-presidential candidate? I completely ignored it. I would imagine most people did.

Why was this option even on the ballot?

Gingrich/Obama

Gingrich to formulate the policy and Obama to explain it and sell it to the people.

Byrd/Paul – they have a lot in common, apparently

Simon/Garfunkel – at least they could harmonize, and it’s time for a Jewish president

Gromit/Wallace – I know most people would expect Wallace to head this ticket, but I like Gromit’s taciturn competence

Ramotswe/Potokwane – an all-female ticket that could really shape this country up

I’m kinda tuning things out right now due to oversaturation. I read the thread title and thought this was a discussion about the best place to sit at a concert or show, LOL.

Obama/Gore

"Gingrich/Obama

Gingrich to formulate the policy and Obama to explain it and sell it to the people."

now that would be an interesting ticket! However, I shudder to think how many times they will butt heads over policies

Edwards/Obama. I’d be extremely happy with the reverse, too, but I’m sure Edwards wouldn’t buy it.

Okay now lets throw a twist in…who do you think will be the actual ticket?

McCain/Thompson
Obama/Oprah (jk) Obama/Edwards

I just think that Edwards will accept b/c otherwise he’ll never have the chance…he’s young and will still be young after 8 yrs…plus he was vetted…only reason he would not get it is if Kerry whispered in his ear, but then again beside the $400 haircut problem I don’t recall any issues.

Let’s be honest VP’s are selected for the wholes they can plug up

I don’t think Edwards will do it. Not a good enough track record of VPs becoming Pres and I think he won’t uproot his wife for anything but Pres. Thompson won’t be interested in my opinion either. Mark Warner from Va could be a choice for the Dems unless Edwards wins nom - he could be good with Clinton so I’ll say

Clinton/Warner

Okay as a republican, you actually did put fear into me…NY/CA/VA that’s 100 electoral votes.

I do disagree I think Thompson has no interest in being president, and would be happy to go VP just to be back in the arena, afterall he lost his acting job and with that ticket you get the right wing out and all of the southern states…remember McCain is from the SW and Thompson SE…That leave the bell weather state of Ohio

I think Warner is running for senate so I change my prediction to

Clinton/Bayh

“Ramotswe/Potokwane – an all-female ticket that could really shape this country up”

LOL! This had never occurred to me before, but they’d have my vote for sure. At a bare minimum, they ought to be running Botswana.

Okay Cartera you put together the perfect ticket…the midwest and someone who can carry the coasts…are you sure you are not working for Hillary’s campaign?

Nope - I just read the NYTimes. If I were on her staff, I would have probably lost my job between Iowa and NH.

Ideally: Obama/Bloomberg

Realistically: Clinton/ Richardson

I don’t think it could be Clinton/ Edwards - in the VP spot last time he didn’t even carry his own state.

no way clinton will choose Richardson after Iowa…if media reports are right.

Obama met with Bloomberg for an endorsement, but I don’t think they are on the same page.

Obama is better off with Bayh…youthful look, image of change and gets all of the votes from Ill., Ind., Oh., etc. which are traditionally republican territories

I think the VP being able to deliver his native state or certainly surrounding states is vastly overrated. Edwards was not even able to deliver his home state in 2004. Gore as presidential candidate didn’t even win his home state. Certainly Jack Kemp failed to budge NY into the red state category.
