Since both parties have such a wide-open race, I thought it would be fun to see what everyone would like the president and vice-president to be. Just pick whoever you want, doesn’t matter if they are in different parties. Personally, I would pick McCain for president, due to his stance on pork and his past experiences in the military, along with Obama since he is the only one that really has the type of charisma needed to reunite the country.

Obama all the way

Yes, but who would you pick for vice-president, and why both?

I would pick Edwards
they both have nice smiles?

Obama/Richardson, Obama/Clinton, Clinton/Obama I could live with all of them.

McCain/Clinton…but that would be Bill…My DS will kill me for that but oh well…if I can’t have Bill than I want Richardson as VP and Bill as Sec. of State, Lieberman as Sec of Def.

I can hear my kids screaming now…one is staunch repub and the other is an Obama fan…oh well I guess I can’t win at all :(

Mrs. Clinton as President and McCain as VP.

Just think of what that would do to the American myths of male and female power:).

As a republican and a woman I could go with that ticket. I actually think she is smart enough to listen to McCain for advice, but who is your Sec of State…my vote Richardson

What a great reason to pick the CEO of the most powerful country in the world.

I’m wondering…do the large corporations use this criteria to pick their CEO’s?

Leal this thread doesn’t necessarily have to be so serious. Relax, have fun! if you want to be serious its fine but dont pick on those who are just trying to find a thread to say who they want and want to joke about why they want them

sorry lealdragon
thats my name but not my post

my mother was being a smart*** when she wrote that

It would be funny were it not for the fact that many people do indeed vote for the person they ‘like’ the best based on looks, personality, etc. I’ve heard people say Romney ‘looks presidential’ and look what happened with Gore/bush - bush was someone you could have a beer with and shoot the s*** while Gore was criticized as being ‘too smart.’

I agree with you leal, it is a sad fact that too many people vote based on looks and not enough based on the person’s actual opinions

so leal who is your favorite ticket… I know it is Ron Paul, but who else?

I would like to see a Paul/McCain ticket. I like Paul’s libertarian stances and McCain’s foreign policy and immigration experience.

This is too interesting for words…looking through the thread we do not have a clear candidate…OMG every buckle in I think we are in for a bumpy ride :)

Paul/Badnarik

Or if he needs crossover appeal to win the general election, Paul/Kucinuch.

I agree. Paul/Kucinuch.

Clinton/Clinton

Ha! …
