Recently been speaking to Phelps School - Pennsylvania but only an hour or so from NYC. They somehow fly under the radar despite playing and beating woodstock, Pennington, Taft, Andover, hockiss…Hoping to send my son but with the large amount of international students, I am afraid he will get overlooked.

Your post on the other thread piqued my curiosity, because I’d never heard of this school, and I am pretty keyed in to boarding school soccer. Their past schedules aren’t up, but this year they aren’t playing NEPSAC schools (Hotchkiss, Taft etc). I do see they play Northwoods and High Mowing, which implies the soccer is at a high level. What is your goal for your son?

I heard of this school some time ago from a friend who considered it for their son, who was aging out of a school near there, also for kids with complex LD. If you have been talking to the school and it’s a good fit for your kid and it’s affordable, I would not worry about getting in. Specialized schools like this tend to have a pretty well self-selected applicant pool.
It looks like the new league fills a niche. Smart!
