<p>anyone know about the pumpkin on top of the cornell tower back in the 90’s? i really want to know more about it.</p>
<p>someone or some people stuck a disco ball on the top last spring. it’s pretty mysterious since the roof of the tower is pretty steep.</p>

<p>The popular rumor for both the pumpkin and disco ball is that the ROTC kids did it. They say to get up there you’d need equipment that realistically only the ROTC kids would have easy access to. Although there’s a rock climbing wall on campus so maybe some experienced climbers or something could have pulled it off.</p>
<p>when i went to the tour on campus the tour guide never mentioned how it got there. she just said that they had to put guards around the tower to make sure pieces of the pumpkin didn’t fall and kill someone lol</p>
<p>My tour guide said that no one really knew how it got up there and it stayed there for about six months. There were going to have this ceremony when they would officially take it down, but ironically, the pumpkin fell off shortly before.</p>
