The question that we're all wondering but have too much pride to ask

I’ll be the one with no shame: How low can our senior year grades realistically get before they rescind acceptances? Not that I plan on this happening, but it would just be nice to know in order to relieve a little bit of second semester stress.

good question, I was going to ask the same thing!

If you are relying on financial aid or scholarships, I would say none. If you are not, then I would say anything under 10-15% of what you have been doing would be my breaking point. So if you are making 100’s, then 85-90s. Now people don’t realize this, but this will not be the last time you use your high school transcript. It will come in play again if you want to join a Sorority or Fraternity (with Sororities, I would not let your grades slip at all if you want a positive result) and with study abroad programs, internal scholarships, research opportunities, internships, etc. I know if I were going to employ an intern I would not want one that was a slacker when no one was watching. I would want to see a strong late Senior year to show personal work ethic.

To be honest, I think just passing all your classes is good enough.

EternalRice, where do you get your info?? Didn’t you read what collegeshopping wrote?

My counselor told me that the only way a school would flat out rescind you for sure is if you failed your classes.
