Yeah! Why have chocolate + oxygen when you could have chocolate + chocolate?

Why do they bother with the hollow ones? Everyone I know wants solid ones!

Its the texture. I don’t like to gnaw on them.

Well if suppose that’s true.

Also, anyone notice how CC is still on the old time? At least for me it is…

Good observation.

Yes, I mean vanilla ice cream with milk chocolate chips. So simple, so perfect, so unattainable.

I had my hopes up with the mention of Haagen Dazs, but could only find milk chocolate covered almond flavor. I don’t want to test my old dental crowns on frozen almonds. Haagen Dazs is my favorite ice cream, and I forgive them for creating a pseudo European name to hide their Bronx origins.

An old-timer who was a bigwig at Edy’s (aka Dryers) once told me that they couldn’t get the right consistency of milk chocolate at low temperature (I’ve been asking this question for a long time). However you often find milk chocolate coated ice cream bars and milk chocolate brand name candy (Reese’s etc.) mixed into vanilla, so why not milk chocolate chips?

Ok I could just make it myself, but unprotected milk chocolate chips don’t last long in the house…

If you do make it yourself, you have to buy the mini chocolate chips, not the regular sized. Very important.

So what you do is make small portions of milk chocolate chips and put one in the cupboard in preparation for your DYI ice cream. Have your H or kids hide the rest.

New Question:
My sister is SUFFERING with a pinched nerve in her (neck? I think). Anyone have that and what is the best treatment. She is taking Vicodin and has a Dr. appt tomorrow. Would a chiropractor help?

Would always go with a chiropractor. Or D.O who does manipulation. Acupuncture, massage. It sounds miserable.

glm, we differ on that. I will probably never go to a chiropractor.

I think EPTR’s sister is doing the exact right thing. That, and going to sleep early. Like, around now.

What’s a D.O.?

I told her to go to a chiropractor because I feel that her alignment may be off and if it is, the PT won’t be of much use until she gets it adjusted. She’s a mess.

Veryhappy,
She can’t sleep at all, she’s in that much pain. But she is seeing her doc tomorrow before making a commitment to her next step. They may do an MRI to see what they can see. I go to a chiropractor and i has brought me a lot of relief.

IMHO, chiropractors feel the need to perform an adjustment. Whether you need one or not. And they sometimes can make a situation much much worse.

It depends on how bad it is.
If the cause is poor posture when driving/ at her desk etc & she holds tension there, I would go to someone who is certified to do deep tissue massage, but if it is from injury or something deeper, its best to be checked out by an ND or MD/DO. Personally, while I have used alternative treatment for 40 years, Ive never been too impressed by chiropractors.

I bought H a [Amazon.com: New Thumper Sport Percussive Massager e](http://www.amazon.com/Thumper-Sport-Percussive-Massager-Educational/dp/B001GAQSIQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1362965892&sr=1-1&keywords=Percussive) at least 15-20 years ago.( not exactly this model) He used to get cluster headaches. It still works & it still gets used. ( its really good for your IT band) Percussive touch is helpful because it overstimulates the muscle/ tendon which gets it to release.

Depending on her age, they might want an xray to rule out osteophytes.( bone spurs)

Last year I had a shoulder thing, ( I couldn’t raise my arm. )I had a cortisone shot & physical therapy. Try to avoid the cortisone shot if you can.

She has TERRIBLE posture. Sitting, standing, everything. I will tell her to ask about bone spurs.

My chiropractor only adjusts what needs to be but I know there is a wide continuum of quality in that field. He is conservative and gives me a lot of other strategies to avoid pain before I come to him.

Doctor of Osteopathy (versus Doctor of Medicine - MD)

All specialties and sub-specialties have people from both tracks, but you may wish to google doctor of osteopathy for the differences in the way they are trained and their emphasis.

Yes, there is a large continuum in chiropractic treatment, and I think some push for far too many treatments. Physical therapy is really the best if her posture is terrible. Exercise, strengthening, adjusting posture.

I walk out of my chiropractor’s office and feel remade, able to stand taller and more comfortably. But it is the work with my massage therapist, yoga and PT, that help keep it that way.

Yes, there are many opinions on chiropractic. And will readily admit that bad things have happened with chiropractic, but that can be said of regular medicine as well.

Heard a useful principle at a seminar yesterday. Whatever position you spend a great deal of time in, stretch in the opposite way every day.

Ihave gone to a chiropractor , but would stay way from one esp with the neck. My friends went to one and is worse. My h had surgery with a DO, surgeon, he was excellent.

I will suggest she look into a DO. Thank you all!!!

Why do we still have Daylight Saving Time and is there any chance of ending it?

Even cows dont like it.

DST was implemented to save energy; its first use was during WWI to save fuel. Yes, there is a chance but it’s very unlikely anytime soon with our current elected officials.
