How do I get the free 6 mos of the WaPo on my amazon prime account? It says it has to be on an alexa enabled device. I dont have alexa- I have google home. I want to be able to read it on my ipad. Help please…>>>>>>
Can you just do a search like you are looking to purchase and then follow from there?
I need to get a new toilet ASAP, mid-range price, never had to do this before. Are there any exciting new developments in residential toilet design I should be aware of, or they’re all pretty much the same?
Imo, it’s budget driven. The low flow toilets use even less water than ten years ago. But easiest to replace with one that has a similar footprint, so the floor doesn’t have gaps.
You need an entire toilet or it’s the tank mechanism that went bad? It’s easy to replace the tank (which comes with all the stuff inside to make it work.) I did it, I’m a gal.
Yucca - measure the rough-in size; typically it is 12 inches, but there are 10 and 14 inch varieties especially in older homes. If it is 12, you have a ton of options. We personally love Toto Aquia. If it is 10, there is a Toto Aquia for that. 14 inch… fewer options. You will have to search.
Anyone know anything about using an electronic filter to reduce harmonics and improve electrical efficiency, reducing household electrical bills?
My brother sent all family members the link to a company that makes one of these passive filters that claim to reduce electric bills 8-20%. The site says it’s passive and only needs 5-30 minute installation by electrician—one per fuse box. No price is mentioned, but I’m just curious.
Our household uses very little power anyway, but I’ve not heard much about these types of filters for homes.
@yucca10 - we replaced ours a few years ago. I don’t remember what brand, but we went with the comfort height. It’s taller than the standard size. It’s pretty great; I’d like to replace the others in my house now! i hope you got or will get that taller size.
If anyone is curious, the company is theedisoncompany dot com. There are many other products and companies as well. I know nothing about any of them but am curious.
Unless you lived in an area where the power supply was not operating efficiently and you had very high grade, demanding equipment, I don’t think a filter will make much difference or would be necessary. My daughter lives in a country where the electric company has lots of brown outs and she has a filter for her computer, hair dryer, etc.
I just don’t like this question at all :(( . But if I have to give an answer I would say before. Then that someone could just not go or take someone else or even agree to just go as a friend. Giving them choices instead of “using” them (which is how it could feel) is the better of two bad choices. I think…but I don’t know…ya know…
We had a nanny once who articulated to us that she was going to break up with her BF right after Christmas. She wanted to wait because she wanted his gifts. I was horrified.
Before. I know I’m still annoyed that one of my lad’s GFs broke up with him right after a spring break trip we did together - one where we paid for most of her expenses. I still feel very used. She told him when she broke up that she’d known for a while that she was going to do it, so it wasn’t due to seeing “him” on the trip. I’m pretty sure he’d have enjoyed the trip just as much without her and it would have been fewer memories he now wants to mostly forget.
