I doubt the hybrid models and non-hybrid models are different on the inside, so he should be able to sit in a regular one to decide if he likes it. I wouldn’t be too concerned about driving the hybrid, it won’t be that different from the regular one.
We bought a new car back in May, the Toyota dealer had 0 RAV4 s on the lot, and the Honda dealer had 1 CRV hybrid on the lot. For popular models, inventory is still very tight.
I would never buy a car without being able to drive some version of it, I don’t fit comfortably in most cars because of my height.
We bought a Subaru about six years ago without seeing it. The dealer had it brought to our home on a flatbed. I’d read enough reviews to feel confident buying that way, and it worked out well.
We bought our Honda without test driving and we’re very pleased with it. Demand was high at the time, so even though the dealer is local to us now I gave them my credit card info to hold the van so it wouldn’t be sold before we could get there. It turned out to have been promised to someone else, but they had one with the same features trailered from an adjacent state within a couple of days and we’re happy.
I’m quite short while H is over 6 ft., yet both vehicles work well for us.
H bought a Tesla 3 without sitting in it. It was new and not out yet.
D bought a Toyota RAV4 Hybrid same but during Covid.
We bought a 19 ft Mercedes adventure van without sitting in it. Also during Covid. I was very worried about reaching the pedals at 5 ft tall. But I had plan B with something you can put on the pedals. However I amazingly fit just fine.
Years ago – maybe 25 or more?? – we were interested in a minivan from Chrysler. We went to test drive it. I’m only 5 feet tall. When I put the seat up as far as I needed it to be, everytime I moved my foot – and therefore leg – from the accelerator to the brake, my thigh and knee hit the steering column. That car was a hard no for me.
I a 5’2” (married to a guy a foot taller). In our first two minivans, I would sit on a pillow when driving. It was always in the minivan, even during eras where my husband was primary driver for that vehicle. Bonus was that if we went camping and everybody else forgot to pack their pillow… I had mine.
I want to make Biscoff Tiramisu this weekend for a family get together. I have the Biscoff cookies (thanks Costco!). I’ve never bought or looked for Biscoff cookie butter before. Is that something I’m going to find in a regular big box grocery store? Is so, where? Like by the cookies? By the peanut butter/jam?
Or should I do an “Amazon Save The Day” order???
I have seen it at our local grocery stores and Target with the peanut butter; take a look there first.
Most grocery stores, as well as Target and Walmart, have a search on their websites where you can see what aisle a item is located. Just search for your store only with in store pickup, and you should be able to find it.
Can you look on a local grocery store app? That’s what I usually do if I’m unfamiliar with a product I need. Sometimes if I google the product it will show in stock or not. I was trying to track down a salad dressing recently.
LOL, while I’m a big app user I don’t use grocery store apps - but good suggestion, I did look on a Meijer webpage and they claim to have it and yep, did list an aisle. I’ll give it a shot!
My mother taught me to fry eggs by putting a small amount of water in the pan and covering it so that the eggs fry from the bottom and steam from the top. I do it to this day. Does this method have a name?
I went to Kroger today and thought I struck out on the Biscoff cookie butter. I looked by peanut butter (there was some other cookie butter there) and by cookies with no luck.
Then I saw these young Kroger workers putting away random grocery items with some gadget that told them what aisle the stuff went in. So i asked about the Biscoff.
Who’da known? In the bakery aisle with its own end cap!
