I’ve been using a free app called CamScanner which takes a picture, cleans it up into a nice, clean document and then converts it to a PDF file that can be sent via email, text, etc. It works great.
Office lens is another free iPhone photo app that cleans up photos and is great for photo and send of business cards and similar.
I’d like to send a meal or two to out of state family members who are spending a great deal of time at the hospital. Can anyone offer recommendations for a good provider of meals that are ready to heat and eat? I’m not looking for the Blue Apron type of thing that requires actual preparation.
I’ve sent meals from Honey Baked Ham before. You can get a quarter HB ham dinner (ham + 2 sides) for $65.95, a pot roast dinner for $56.95 or a beef brisket dinner for $62.95. You can probably find a promo code online to reduce the price a little but of course you’ll pay shipping, too.

If it was me, I’d look for something local to where the family is located - a caterer or prepared meal to go place. If you name the area, perhaps posters will be able to suggest something.
Definitely local. How about some of those meal delivery services like Peach?
Another option would be to give gift cards to local restaurants that do take out or deliver. That way the recipients can order what they want and when they want. Maybe a little less personal but the flexibility might be appreciated especially if other family or friends are helping with food, too.
Waiter on the Way or Uber Eats will deliver from a list of local restaurants.
Agree, that many places do take out or delivered meals. Bite delivers from a variety of places.
Thanks. I think I’m going to try Honey Baked Ham. It’s not going to be easy to schedule a delivery time with something like Uber Eats because it’s hard to pin them down to be at home. I think in this case it’s better to send something in a dry ice cooler that can stay on the porch for a bit til someone gets home.
so . . . . watching re-runs of the The Office. Why does Michael hate Toby so much?!
From Wikipedia:
“Toby was intensely despised by branch manager Michael Scott, largely because Michael had no authority over him as Toby reported to corporate headquarters, and because Toby frequently tried to dissuade Michael from many of his ill-conceived and impulsive ideas. Michael sums up his feelings for Toby in the episode “Casino Night,” asking, “Why are you the way that you are? Honestly every time I try to do something fun or exciting, you make it not that way. I hate so much about the things that you choose to be.” For Toby’s going away party in “Goodbye Toby,” Michael gives him as a gift a rock with a note attached reading “Suck on This!” Shortly after arriving in Costa Rica, Toby suffers a zip-line accident and midway through season 5, he returns to his old job at Dunder Mifflin, much to Michael’s fury.”
Help with notebook for NEW Job
Hi, I retired from full time position but wanted to keep up my skills. I need suggestions on a notebook/ binder to keep notes for the new perdiem position I accepted. Bound vs loose leaf? I would like to be able to put in lab coat pocket but could transfer notes to smaller size each day. I doubt using my iPhone would be acceptable at work. Suggestions for organizing notes, new hospital procedures, passcodes etc. last time u had a new job the S was going to kindergarten:). Thx. The perdiem position only commits me to 4 shifts ever 4 weeks if I’m needed. Department training will be over several weeks.
I myself would use bound, but that’s me. For decades I used a full-size (9x12) spiral bound notebook and wrote everything in it – meeting notes, voice mail messages, reminders to do stuff. For some reason, I could always find what I was looking for fairly easily. I kept the notebooks forever. Well, until I left the job.
The auto admit thread was closed a while ago. Anyone have a good updated list of auto admit schools, as this is changing.
Anyone??
And new question- has anyone tried taking apple cider vinegar, supposedly for health/diet benefits? Its so nasty. How do you consume it? As a salad dressing?
Lol, one of my docs recently raved about Bragg’s. He really lit up, said somthing about its effect on insulin. I know you can take it in 8 oz water, with organic honey or some stevia. Many recommend it before bedtime.
I know it “can” irritate your throat, but just be sensible. He said 1.5 tsp.

Thanks. That would be doubly yukky to me as I am not a fan of honey either! I cannot figure out how to ingest it without it coming right back .
I added a comment.
You can try starting with a smaller amount. (I had to start slow on ground flaxseed.)
Thanks. Found a site that said to add it to juice, but that seems counterintuitive if its supposed to lower sugar.
