Last semester it seemed like financial aid waited until the last days to ask for paperwork and I missed first disbursements. Is there anything wrong with applying to 2 different colleges with the same associate programs and taking the first that offers an award letter, and dropping the other so I am sure to be locked into and funded this year. What do students do in cases like these every year, I’m sure it happens, what is the standard practice? I know you can’t collect from both, don’t want to, I just don’t want to miss disbursement again through no fault of my own again, due purely to the fault of the aid department being overly busy. What is best answer, can I apply to more than one?

You can get an award letter, but still have your disbursement delayed.

Go sit down with the people in the financial aid office. Find out when you need to get the paperwork to them. Don’t wait until they ask for it. Get it to them well in advance. That way they will have plenty of time to process your aid package.

Unable to, Does anybody have an answer to the question the way it is written?

Didn’t want to appear rude there Mom, I am wheel chair bound and take courses online. Went ahead with my plan since nobody answered - Thanks for your advice anyway.
