How bad is it? Just curious.

What does this mean?

I don’t really understand the question either…

are there rumors among students at LACs?
rumors about LACs?

A bit more specific please…

I think the OP is asking about the whole “your business is everyone’s business” stereotype about LACs.

right, the idea that LACs (or small schools in general) have hyperactive rumor mills, because everyone knows who everyone else is sleeping with.

i feel like even larger universities are still susceptible to that problem though… within residential floors or buildings, or in highly competitive classes, maybe

It’s the same as living in a small town: everyone knows everyone else. As far as how “bad” it actually is, I imagine it varies by college. It’s probably pretty much impossible to quantify, anyway. If you come from a really big city/school you would notice it more than if you come from somewhere small where you’ve already dealt with it.

and you’re going to have rumors everywhere anyway.
