The SAT is easy at first glance.

I seem to get most of the Critical Reading questions on the QOD, some writing questions.

Most past SAT/PSAT’s I saw (I didn’t do them all, I just looked through the ones I have) are all pretty easy.

The PSAT I took in october 2010 (administered and official) was the first time I took it as a freshmen. I scored a VERY LOW 162. But looking back, I see PLENTY and LOTS of mistakes that I seemingly wouldn’t have made even then. I don’t see why the SAT becomes so hard all of a sudden.

For example I reviewed the OCT 2010 PSAT, and I saw that I missed about 2-3 math questions that I could have gotten right even then, around 3-4 critical reading questions and even 2-3 writing questions. The rest was honestly things I didn’t know.

I can breaze through the first 10-12 questions on the SAT Math, yet it was so un-nerving and difficult during test time. What am I doing wrong?

As hard as it is, relax. Pump some overconfidence into yourself while you’re at it. It helps a TON.
