The School Profile

you know how all schools take those standaradized tests for each state?

for example, i live in MO

so mine is Missouri Assessment Test (MAP)

We score top 10 in the state. Will this show up on my school profile?

what other things will show up? (besides graduation %, Average SAT, AP courses)

chanman - I think the best person to ask this would be your school counselor. He/She would know exactly what they send to colleges.

I think the only reason we take the map test for is so the school can receive funding that is in correlation to the academic success on the map test. I’ve e-mailed college admission officers about it, and they said that they don’t bother with it at all. I scored 5’s on both test I took last year, and from the way it seems is that colleges won’t even look at it. I don’t really think it makes the school appear better/worse, because it’s not nationally recognized. So even if you get 2’s on the test, you can still go to Harvard.

Hey chanman,
I am from Missouri too…since your school is in the top 10 it might show on the school profile, but I doubt that it will affect college admission decision in any way.
Personally, I despise MAP tests.
