As all juniors know, the PSAT that we take in October in order to qualify for NMS is like no other that has gone before it. That’s right–the redesigned PSAT will be slapped onto desks in a few months. Personally, I’ve never been a fan of guinea pigs, and I would prefer not to become one. However, one must adapt to the circumstances at hand.
In lieu of that, I would love some guidance. Because College Board is redesigning their entire testing program, the class of 2017 must scramble to take the SAT before it is sucked into the whirlwind of reformatting. Let me preface this by saying that I am set in my ways and have determined that I must take the following course of action; please do not attempt to dissuade me from doing so.
I plan to take:
The PSAT (new) in October
The SAT in October
And the ACT in September
Is anyone else pursuing a similar plan of action? Let me know any thoughts you may have as to how to accomplish this on top of a majorly rigorous junior year course load!
I’m doing this too! Rather climatically, the scheduling issues resulted in my having to drop some AP classes (so it won’t be that bad), but I’m still pressed for time because of my crazy schedule. The main way I’m trying to study is by practicing for both tests, but focusing on the SAT as I have a lot less time for that one. As for the new PSAT, a lot of that is a mixture of the ACT and old SAT, so I’m just gonna focus exclusively on that test for the week or two before. Because of all of my after school stuff, I’m anticipating spending all of the time I can on these, and hopefully it will work out.
Hi friend! I’m in a similar situation as you.
My plan to survive Junior year is simple.
Just focus on what the teachers say in class so there will be less confusion at home while doing homework,
and every Saturday, take a practice SAT test to be ready to take it on October.
I’m a bit troubled cause I’ll be taking 4 AP classes and it might be burdensome but I’m going to try to not let it interfere with my SAT studying.
Sounds simple but who knows how it’ll actually be like…lol
What’s the weather got to do with it?
