I realize how much I love CC because of how SMART and open-minded you guys are.

I regularly go on a hobby forum and the stupidity and ignorance of some people make me want to kick the brainlessness out of them!!! (possible?)

This is what happens, in almost every thread!

Someone got an item that was described “delicately painted” and in great condition on eBay. It cost quite a bit more than an unpainted, unassembled one. But when she got it, the paint job turned out to be horrible and the item was poorly maintained (but fixable if you put hours of work into it). She tells the forum of her dilemma and is currenly trying to get her money back via Paypal.

Someone’s (BRAINLESS) reply: I wouldn’t rush around saying that the paint job is awful and you got ripped off. These items are very customizable and all the problems you’ve said it has can be fixed. yes I think the seller wasn’t honest about how the paint job looked and the modifications, but if you don’t want to go through the trouble of filling with ebay and paypal, I suggest finding an artist to fix the paint and also fixing it yourself if ebay doesn’t do anything for you. Don’t give up! it’s just the paint that’s an issue, right?

Yes, pay for the paint job that should have been good, get the crappy item, spend hours trying to fix it and $60 for an artist. What an incredibly practical solution.

I wish my favorite hobby didn’t have such frustrating, mindless people involved.

It’s funny - some forums, even gaming forums, have very intelligent communities. But then times change and those intelligent people leave the communities, leaving them to be superceded by the endless horde of n00bs who are one-shot posters and quitters.

Maybe the person who posted that on the foorum knew the person who had sold the item to her (or WAS the person). Otherwise, it does seem ridiculous. Pretty funny, though.

teens-4-christ.org go to the science and evolution board, or any board for that matter.

This is in no way a knock against any religion and is in no way meant to be offensive, but some of their posts are just ridiculously closed-minded; it’s fascinating to read some of them.

There’s one post in the science and evolution section that suggests that scientists have nothing better to do so they make up the “lie” that is evolution.

You know, I used to go to one of those “Southern Baptist, born-again, let’s-all-cry-during a Christian rock song” church. They don’t believe in evolution, yet they never acknowledge what they think. Geesh.

No wonder I want to convert.

The people at the church I used to go to, they were more accepting than you think. They never denounced other religions (at least, not publicly). But, seriously?^
