The summer programs that look most good on high school transcript

<p>I am a sophomore at a high school and i was looking for some really prestigious and great high school programs over the summer. Does anyone know any good ones they applied to?</p>

<p>Well, firstly, summer programs don’t show up on your high school transcript except for regular old summer school.</p>

<p>Secondly, the point of a summer program is not to make you look good when applying for college.</p>

<p>Thirdly, what topics are you interested in? RSI is the most prestigious; apply for next year before January (deadline already passed for this year).</p>

<p>also TASP, if you like humanities… again the deadline has passed.</p>

<p>There are many great programs though whose deadlines have not passed, but most have. Check out the different threads.</p>

<p>MITES is open to rising seniors (I don’t know if I got that terminology correct, but you apply as a junior and attend during the summer before senior year. It’s open to people of all ethnic groups but “hooks” are low income, attend a school that sends 50% or less students to college, and being African, Hispanic, or Native- American.</p>
