When the head of the MT department at U Memphis was talking to students and parents during a pre-audition orientation, he said he understood what auditions were like and empathized with the difficult task ahead for the applicants - of going before faculty members for a college audition and being judged by them.
But he also said that once accepted, the table will turn and they will be able to judge and decide on the schools.
My son’s first audition was Nov. 5. His last acceptance came March 21. The tables have indeed turned and our kids are happy again.

Well said…and good news…there are lots of fun shows and experiences waiting here on the other side! All of the angst will fade away like labor pains…who can remember them? They gave us such a wonderful result! Welcome!!

Amen nicksmtmom!! I hardly remember the 36 hours of labour pain and the c-section without anesthetic (metaphor…). Life continues to be very exciting for these kids (and us parents) after final decisions are made and schools are selected!
