Glad I was wrong about Stan match. Shocked how easily he won. Just added to great day in TennisWorld with the brat losing (if he doesn’t give a fill in the blank then quit the tour, fgs.) Isner going down to other
brother is icing on the cake.

Wow! What a shocker last night. Silly me, I thought it was all over and went to bed and read the news this morning.

I thought it was over too! Very shocking!

Starting during the first game of first set, JMac didn’t stop talking about Istomin’s tank almost on empty until 4-3 up in 5th set.

Great day in TennisWorld! Whodda thunk Wednesday was just a warmup. :)!

Only mildly disappointed in Aga losing - I have a soft spot for anyone who had tennis father from **** so very happy for Mirjana. Hope she can keep it up…

Roger giving masterclass to Walking Bye last night.

I think I’ve found my outer court guy in Misha Z.

Kutzy/JJ best match on ladies side.

Coco/Genie was a “who do I despise the least” match for me. I struggled back and forth but they are both so deplorable I could never make up my mind.

Thank you Roger for today.

Pojd Barbora!

Jennifer Brady looked good. Cool that she went to UCLA (Go Bruins!) and wasn’t even number 1 on the team!!

I can’t post a link here, but every tennis fan should check out Roger’s FB feed to see the hilarious video of the new boy band of Roger, Grigor Dmitrov, and Tommy Haas “performing”…Perhaps they picked tennis for a reason!

Well done Katya! So happy she took out Pome - she’s been really getting on my nerves lately with all the constant bouncing and pome-ing.

And good onya MLB for pulling it out in 3!

Wow! A lot happened while I was sleeping! Both #1’s lose, Fed wins in 5!

Wouldn’t it be great to see a Rafa-Roger final again!

Love my new “outer court” guy!!!

I was at the march yesterday, got home late and ff’d through the women. Fell asleep pretty much right away, but not completely and thought I heard OCG had won. I was in and out of consciousness after that and heard bits and bobs of Roger.

Both matches are on my agenda today while I pack for my trip.

Now someone just has to take out the Robot and it’ll be the best AO in ages.

Pojd Barbora!!!

Well she fought at least and made Serena work.

Dom looking good so far.

Katya playing better in 2nd but not going to be good enough. I don’t see JoKo losing this one.

So happy for MLB! I’d never seen Brady before but I was really bothered by the way she walks. Silly, I know - but it sometimes the little things which turn me off of a particular player - like JoKo’s service motion or Coco looking like she just rolled out of bed without washing first.

V happy KaPlisk won against another annoying player.

Disappointed in another clownish performance from LeMonf.

The Robot was really awful and still managed to win. RBA should be ashamed.

Looks like Dom completely fell apart after 2nd set.

Shame Denis got injured but great tourney for him…and at least he won a match after his big win beating Djoker.

I’m off for a week in Florida tomorrow morning Hoping H won’t mind if I get up in middle of night to watch the tennis.

HOPP Roger!!! Sorry Mischa. :frowning:

Watching Roger yesterday made my Packers losing so much more bearable.

Who wouid have thought of the big four remaining at the business end of the tournament it would be Rafa and Roger!!!

I do think the courts being so quick this year has helped him a lot. But, I’m pissed they kept them slow all those years when myPatrick was playing. Stupid Rebound Ace. ( :frowning:

I haven’t said (or even read) most of this thread. Junior tennis is a lovely memory until we have grandchildren. And IF they want to play…we’re there. My daughters played so many now pros. Julia Boserup,Kiki, Vanya King, Armitrage (no, they didn’t play with Stephen, Duke played at our country club when they were in town. His father and uncle also were members. There was a time when we were leaving London. One female tennis player was there when Mr. Ellebud approached her to say hi and to talk about Wimbledon… She freaked…she’s not a star…but as I mentioned we had seen her in the juniors. Saw our daughters and she laughed. She remembered us. Or my daughters…
