Donald Young is trying hard to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory…
Boo. A like too late for my lovelyLucas.
@stevensmama, Are you at this match?
No. I have tickets for Stadium 1, but right now I’m at the RumChata Oasis. I love Rafa, but it’s too damn hot!
Had to go early this year due to family travel schedules but got to see lots of killer doubles! Decided to concentrate on the women’s doubles as that is what I play- got to see Hingis, Stosur, Kuznetsova, and my favorites Mattek-Sands and Safarova…they were awesome and really seem to enjoy themselves!
I love the comment above about Taylor Fritz and Eddie Munster
The Oasis sounds like a better idea.
Is Stadium 2 a separate tkt or can you get in with Stadium 1 tkt?
I bought the cheapest Center Court tkts available (level 4) for Miami but can go into Grandstand - just not the reserved seats. I tend to go to matches on wee outer courts though - especially the first few days.
You can get into certain areas of the middle section and all of the top section of Stadium 2 with a grounds pass or Stadium 1 seats.
On Friday we spent a lot of the day at the top of The stadium 3 grandstand because there is a nice breeze up there and you could also look down on Stadium 6. When we couldn’t stand the heat another minute we had lunch inside, at the bar, at the Chop House. The Chop House is in Stadium 2 and for $100 minimum, per person, you can have a front row view of the action on Stadium 2, but that wasn’t in our budget. Next year I will look into shade seats in Stadium 2.
We tend to be outer court people too! Especially early on.
Miami got rid of ground passes except for qualies.
Always important to get seats in the shade whenever possible. At least it’s not humid in IW, unlike Miami.
Oy vey - FerV just doubled to go down 5-6 in the 2nd. Why do my boys all choke?!?
With a Stadium 1 ticket, you can sit in any non-reserved seat in any other stadium.
Chop House was really good!
Gosh, I thought Mugu was done and dusted after that second set! Delivering a bagel after eating a breadstick is impressive.
I’m so glad I extended my trip for one day–I’d hate to have to leave tomorrow and miss Rafa and Roger! :D/
But who are you going to be pulling for!?!
They’re my two favorite players, so either way I can’t lose!
I hate when my favs play each other, but then I find myself pulling more for one as the match goes on.
Sometimes it even comes down to who has the hottest coach.
:))
Master class now being given in Stadium 1!
Rogers backhand is on fire!
Backhanderer. ^:)^ ^:)^ ^:)^
Still trying to figure out htf Stan won. 54UEs 8-|
Even with 54 UEs, isn’t that difficult for a player of Stan’s caliber to win against a 5’7", 135 LBS, relatively inexperienced player that isn’t ranked among the top 50 in the world.
^You obviously didn’t watch the match.
I watched the second set. Missed the first and the last sets though.
