Tight first set and until 4-4 in 2nd when Roger turned it up a notch and Marin completely lost the plot. It’s always a weird match when one player is already in the semi’s and the other is out of the tourney.
Domi what a horrid performance. Please hire new coach and learn to better schedule what tourneys you play.

I thought Venus looked gorgeous.
Not particularly a fan of Serena’s gown (it was just a bit too big, IMO,) but the material was gorgeous and I liked it was bling-less.
The flowers, tables etc, were spectacular.
Baby is beautiful.
Shame Richard wasn’t able to be there. He must be in pretty bad shape.

Venus looked great, as did her mama. In all Serena wore three gowns. I liked the gown she got married in the best. I LOVE the picture with the baby.

Richard had a stroke awhile back and I assume he is not well enough to travel. I’m sure she wouldn’t not invite her father!
I read on TF that Vika was there but don’t know if that’s true or not. She and Caroline are her bffs on tour. Patrick was not but don’t know if he got an invite or not.
I didn’t like Serena’s dress but she looks very happy. Venus looked gorgeous!
The strapless look is hard on a full figured gal who’s also breast feeding! Yes, Venus looked gorgeous… if a tad thin. I hope she’s dealing with her health issues OK…

Finally had a chance to watch the men’s final. Both guys were so tight during parts of the match I thought their arms might crack off. But it was entertaining and suspenseful - with David saving 4 match points at the end. But 5th mp was the charm for Dimi. And he is now new #3. Who wouid have thunk that after dreadful chunk of the season where he lost something like 12 matches in a row.
Only DC left until Aussie summer starts in January.
Slams to go back to 16 seeds in 2019. I hated when they went to 32 so very pleased they are changing it back.
It’s Aussie summer time!!! 2018 starting off where 2017 left off. A bunch of the men still injured - including Djoker - who pulled out of Abu Dhabi today with the elbow issue, Sir Andrew took his place in a one set exho and got shellacked 2-6 from RBA. The Robot, Kei, Stanley, Jo Willy have also pulled out of various warm up tourneys, as has Rafa - who pulled out of Abu Dhabi with more knee issues.
The only news on women’s side is Vika still dealing with custody issues and so is out of Aussie summer, and Marion Bartoli announced her comeback. Supposedly Miami will be her first tourney.
Serena is in Abu Dhabi to play an exho with Ostapenko. It’ll be on TC tomorrow morning.
And Roger’s back in Perth for the Hopman Cup, posing for selfies with quokkas on Rottnest Island and charming everyone in town!
Looking forward to watching Serena and Roger! Bummer about Vika! I have never been a Marion Bartoli fan. Will she play both singles and doubles?
