Young blonde American won in 3 after falling and badly turning over on her ankle 3-0 up in the 3rd. Poor dear was in tears. She went on to win the set convincingly 6-2.

I played today. They are yellow. I also just watched close up of Alize Cornut ™ holding a ball in her hand to serve. The ball was yellow.

To my mind, the most interesting first-round match on the men’s side, although not entirely for the actual tennis, is Kyrgios-Tomic.
Might be interesting. I don’t think clay is either of their surface. Nick has also been nursing an elbow issue and hasn’t played a singles match in about 6 weeks. - though he’s in the dubs final w/Sock in Lyon.
Maybe Bernard will be inspired to play now that he’s flopped as a reality tv star.

My men’s draw is holding on, but shame Stanley couldn’t get the win. I had him going a few rounds.
My women’s draw is a mess - but likely so is everyone else’s. And note to self - don’t ever pick JoKo to win a match on clay.
I think everyone’s kit looks pretty good, except that hideous thing Adidas put Ostapenko in. I think they are putting Angie in it too.
Disappointed to see Pics lose in first rd. 
I take that back on the kits. Just saw what Lotto dress Rybarikova is wearing. It was fine from the front but the back is a mess. Looks like it was made for Aga - who might have been able to pull it off even with hideous back.

I am a huge Serena fan, but not a fan of the catsuit. But if that is what she feels comfortable in… I wonder if she will continue to wear it if it heats up. I liked the color of Maria’s dress. I don’t mind the spaghetti straps, but I don’t like the cut. I was bummed I had to go to work today, I would have loved to spend the day watching tennis.
I’m hopelessly behind as had an out of town wedding. I tried to watch on the long car rides but kept losing service, so only caught bits and bobs.
My women’s draw is a bloody mess - thanks Elaine and Kiki, not. But I super happy Angie won - even though I had her losing that match. But my winner (Mugu) is still in it so there is hope.
I’ve got Maria going onto the qrts but had Serena losing in the 3rd rd. So, I’ll pull for Maria tomorrow.
Men’s is holding up much better, mainly because of so few upsets.
