Anyone ever heard of “tennis leg”? Evidently I have it. Last night I was playing singles and all of a sudden felt a “pop” in my calf and had to limp off the court. Evidently it is common in middle-aged players. Bummer.
@tx5athome, Never heard of it. Is it something you can get treatment for or is it one of the ones that just need rest, etc.
Hope you can recover quickly!
Just RICE (rest, ice, compression, elevation). I should be back on the court within a few weeks. Prevention involves warming up and stretching.
Warming up and stretching is what everyone is supposed to do but we never do it!
Good day in TennisWorld. Roger won Basel for the 7th time and improves H2H with Rafa. Bit of a mess of a match. Roger should have won in two.
And Aga won the Yec! Nice way to finish a year which started so dreadfully.
Plus, cutie patootie Joao Sousa won Valencia.
Now onto Bercy.
Rafa could have won today. Could have gone either way in the third - Which is good considering his year.
In case anyone is interested in trying for Wimby tickets.

Good win by Rafa yesterday, cool under heavy pressure down match point in the 2nd set breaker! Isner has taken out Roger, should be an interesting day today.
Very interesting and very long day, to say the least. Bonus that I got two of the results I was hoping for.
You were happy Nole won @emilybee? I’m shocked LOL. Berdych gave Nole a hard time. Not a good night for Rafa, Stan did very well after getting clobbered by him last week. Would love to see Ferrer put up a good fight against Andy.
ummm…not quite.
Rooting for Pics and Stan. Since I am usually the kiss of death, not expecting to be pleased with today’s results.
I am actually surprised Stan took a set off Novak. But he’s down 3-0 in the third so this is going as expected otherwise.
Bleugh.
Bumping for ATP finals. A much needed diversion this week from the news.
Agreed Emily. Being French and Lebanese, this week has been particularly difficult. First Beirut and then Paris. And things are getting worse! Hopefully, there will be some good tennis this week, although Djokovic’s first match was not that interesting, beating Nishikori 6-1, 6-1 in 65 minutes. I expected it to be closer.
Dropshoterer
The drama today was at the Fed Cup final.
Stan should just take Donna on vacation now. He can probably win more games the next two matches just by phoning in.
Djoker losing to Olderer on a slow court in straight sets. Priceless.
Yea Fed!!
Pathetic tank by Murray after losing first set. Probably decided better to get to Belguim asap then waste the weekend in London.
