It’s been around the 27th the past couple weeks so it should be next Friday. No guarantees

I meant years*

I should know this . . .

Do decisions come out online (emails) or are they snail-mailed?

They are released via e-mail. The subject line is something like “Application - Status Update.”

Okay, cool.

Thank you!

Re: Bienen. At the information session we attended, Patrick Zylka indicated that they often get the Music School admissions out before the end of the month - but there was certainly no committment to an earlier date.

Good luck to all!

I assume any merit award info will be in the snail mail package and not the email.

@AVHS Dad

I hate to break it to you, but Northwestern does not offer merit aid.

Well then I won’t be disappointed if I don’t see any in his acceptance letter!
(staying positive here!)

Thanks!

Well, guys, it’s hard to believe we’re down to this last week. I won’t go on and on about how long I’ve waited, yadda yadda.

I was waitlisted at UNC-CH, before people start saying “oh, you won’t get in”, let me just say that a) at least it wasn’t a rejection b) that school is on par with a lot of these others in terms of OoS and c) hey, a girl can dream that maybe, just maybe, this amazing school will look past one part of a test she took on one day and see the summation of 4 years of hard work.

Here’s to hoping for all of us :D

@deadmau5: No one here thinks “oh, you won’t get in”!

Anything can happen in this college admissions game. I think as long as all of us really put everything into our apps, worked hard in school, and found a few things that we truly loved to do extra-curricularly… AND applied to the right amount of safety/match/reach schools, we’ll all end up fine.

Just trying to stay positive here! I can’t believe we’ll know this time next week! I’m way excited!

haha ocgirl that was just said to stave off a certain user that has a tendency to somehow find my posts and remind me that a 600 on math is OMG AUTOMATIC DENY from most top schools

Ugh that’s so annoying… and so unnecessary.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you - and everybody else!

thanks! I saw you were applying to Hopkins. That’s literally in my backyard. Best of luck to ya :D

( : Thanks! Keep me posted on where you get in!

Hopefully, one week from now, we’ll know.

Fellow So. Cal/Orange County student applying to Northwestern and Hopkins? I did too. Good luck!

( :

Have any of you visited NU?
If I get accepted, I’ll definitely try to make the flight over.

I visited last April. If I was in love with the school before, that visit made me enamored. Beautiful town, wonderful campus, some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. :)

I visited in April too! Funnily enough though, the visit made me less enamored of NU because it was a lot tamer/more suburban than I had pictured.
