The Walking Dead - Season 7

I like Nick.

I liked the episode a lot. The ‘interlude’ episodes are some of my favorites on TWD and this one was no exception, even though it was one that moves the story forward.

@Snowdog I, too, like Nick. I think he’s the most interesting character on FTWD. I liked Season 1 because it depicted the beginning of whatever it is that happened, something that TWD never did, but haven’t liked much about it since, although I continued to watch.

I enjoyed the Carol/Morgan/Ezekiel episode too. It may have been a little draggy in spots, but I’ve always liked the one-off kind of episodes.

Not looking forward to Sunday’s episode - still deciding whether or not to watch…

Last night’s episode was actually very good. Not as brutal as expected. Very good character development. Recommend watching it.

Thanks for posting as I just almost gave up. I watched about 5 minutes until Negan walked by. I just thought I can’t watch this segues anymore if I’m on the edge of my seat for an hour and truly decided I was done with the show. Now I’m intrigued and may continue. I just had this “I don’t care” feeling for the first time.

I’m totally hooked on the “torture” song, Easy Street. Absolutely love it.

Well, conmama, I think Negan is going to be on the post election episode. But hang in there. We still have The Kingdom and the Saviors. Oh, tonight is a 90 minute episode. Got AMC on in the background while I type. Just ran a commercial. Hoping to sneak out and see the moon tonight though before the episode, since I’ll be ready to hit the sack once it’s over.

So…anyone keeping up? I haven’t watched since Episode 2. Has it gotten terribly gory or dark lime Episode 1?

I’ve been keeping up. Episode 1 was by far the darkest one. Most of the other episodes have focused on other characters in different locations, like they’ve done in past seasons when all the characters weren’t in one place. Although Negan has made another appearance, it was nothing even close to the first episode.

Ok, thanks. I’ll continue then. That first one really took it out of me.

I suspect there will be another intense one before the end (Carl and Jesus?) but also the beginnings of a rebellion.

I am also watching Westworld. It may pull me away from WD.

Still watching. This week was good, and pretty calm. Tara and Heath who have been missing a while are the focus.

I am liking these “one-off’s”. I suspect it’s to drag out the season until the next Negan confrontation. I really don’t Negan will be around long. I don’t think Rick being subjugated to Negan plays well with the fans, so I think his story will be over quickly.

this season blows

^^…brains?

Any opinions on the Season 7 finale? I wasn’t impressed…

So predictable that the dump weirdos would turn on Rick and company. As soon as they handed over the guns, you knew it was a mistake in the making. I don’t read the TWD comics, but I gather that this series of events follows the plot of the books. Still frustrating to watch them make these stupid leadership decisions. Now they’ve lost half their “army” and guns and each one of their communities is painfully vulnerable to attack.

I expect to see the entire group move from Alexandria to Hilltop or Kingdom for next season. If they stay in A, they have no food source if they’re cut off. The writers have never developed the safe zone as a place that grows it’s own food unless I’m mistaken.

I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I think I may watch it again, as I had a couple of phone calls that may have caused me to miss a few things. I’m annoyed that Negan is still alive, I’ve grown so tired of him and his ridiculous manner.

Yes, no surprise that the weirdos turned on Rick. One thing that I really don’t understand is these weird Scavenger people. Why do they talk like that? How do normal people end up acting and speaking like that? Too weird for me.

I liked how Carl took the initiative to start the gun battle when Sasha lunged out of the coffin. Go Carl! The gunfights are always more than a little amusing, though. With all that firepower, and they couldn’t seem to hit the broad side of a barn, for the most part.

And, Rick. Seriously, is this guy indestructible? He gets shot and pushed off the guard tower and later seems just fine?

Loved that Shiva was part of the arriving cavalry. That was cool.

I watched it but I was waayyyy too grumpy to enjoy it. There are too many questions and too many lapses in continuity for me to go all in.

For example – please tell me WHY Rick is still the leader. It seems like he’s always making a boneheaded decision that puts everyone else in peril…like his half-baked plan for the walker horde in Season 6 and his giving all those weapons to the Garbage People. And yet, everyone treats him like he’s some amazing leader.

And yeah, @alwaysamom - why do those Scavengers talk that way? What is it about the Zombie Apocalypse that took away their verbal abilities?

My only non-grumpy comment is that it was nice to see Morgan and Carole together.

  1. Yes - why DO they talk like that? Weren't these all "normal" people a few years ago (Judith is what, around 2 now?)
  2. Yes - Neegan and his ridiculous monologues
  3. How did the tiger know who to eat, and who not to eat?
  4. So many killed in the gun battle, don't they all turn into walkers? Did they have to go around and stab them all in the head before they turn?
  5. Yes, Rick got shot in the hip, he doesn't look injured at all...
  6. Will Maggie EVER get a baby bump? Even a tiny one?

To me, the storyline is getting a little repetitive…but that’s just me. In spite of it all… I’m sure I’ll keep watching!
