<p>CBS has a tv movie based on Pat Conroy’s “The Water is Wide” this Sunday.</p>
<p>I loved his book…it was about the heart of teaching.</p>
<p>havent read the book, but that was one of my favorite songs in choir in junior high</p>
<p>Don’t know if I’ll watch it or not because it’s on opposite ACC Sunday Night Hoops. I did love the book though and thoroughly enjoyed the original film version, Conrack. I’ll be interested to hear how it compares.</p>
<p>I am a huge Pat Conroy fan. I’ve read everyone of his books. I’ve met both him and his father (The Great Santini). I also just saw this redo of the original movie advertised on t.v. As with most movies from books, the book is better, but it won’t stop me for watching the movie. His last book a non-fiction called “My Losing Season” was fantastic. Ties in a lot of his life including the portions covered by Conrack.</p>
