The whole book for final exams?

Does anyone know if college’s exams test you the whole book or just the last few chapters?
I tried looking at the class syllabus but it’s not on it.
Thanks for answering.

Depends on the class. instructors differ. It depends on whether it is a final exam or just a test I suppose. Try attending class.

You should ask your professor if the final is comprehensive. Most of my finals have been comprehensive, but not all.

If it’s not on your syllabus and this has not been discussed in class, just ask the professor.

It depends on the class and how much of the book the class covers. Many times classes cover only a few chapters of the book. However the final exam is usually based on all of the content that was taught in the course (which may or may not be the entire book).
