<p>I’m thinking Yale, Harvard, Penn, Princeton, Dartmouth. If I can find the will I’ll try and wait till 6 that way I can see them in that order but most likely I’ll be stalking collegeconfidential to find out which comes out first…</p>

here are the schools i applied to
1- Penn (top choice, deferred ED)
2- Cornell (most realistic?)
3- Harvard (amazing interview, but its HARVARD)
4- Dartmouth (i know/care about this the least)
5- Yale (2nd choice)</p>
<p>guys stop freaking out!! if you’re rejected, you’re rejected, and it’s better to find out sooner than later. and if you’re accepted, then you’ll still be happy about being accepted regardless of whether you saw that acceptance first or last when checking decisions</p>
<p>and at the end of the day, you won’t even remember the order in which you checked your decisions. you’ll just know which schools you got rejected/accepted by</p>
<p>i think it would be funner to randomize the order. what’s the point of doing it by preference?</p>

My mom had a dream I got accepted to this program at Princeton last summer (I got accepted).
Now she’s having dreams that I got accepted to the actual school.</p>
<p>My aunt, on the other hand, had a dream I got accepted to Stanford. </p>
<p>SMH. This is torture. But I think I have a good chance.</p>
<p>I’d check Cornell, then Stanford, then Penn, then Princeton, then Columbia. Princeton and Columbia are my favorites, but no matter where I end up, I know I’ll be happy b/c there’s lots of things about all my schools I like (I applied to 13, got accepted to 1 so far. The rest I won’t find out until April).</p>

<p>What’s the point of checking the best one first? If I checked Princeton’s and found out I was accepted (vain hope), I wouldn’t feel any happiness?excitement? checking/getting accepted anywhere else! All others would be subsidiary colleges.</p>

anyways, id probably check from the most likely to least likely… cornell -> penn -> hyp (hmmm i dont know what im going to do if hyp all comes at the same time lol… id probably check harvard first b/c im not going to get in anyways so just get that one out of the way…)</p>

<p>I think I’ll be too stressed if I try to go on right at 5 and the servers are busy or the emails are late or something, so I think I’ll hang out at school until like 4:55, and by the time I get home it’ll already be 5:20 (yeah I like kind of far from my school)</p>
<p>and to answer the actual question, I think I’ll just open them the order they get to my inbox, too impatient to do it any other way ;)</p>
<p>It’s 5 EST right? I probably won’t check until I get home but I live on PST so I’ll still be in school. Does anyone check at school? I would nevvvverrrrrr until no one is looking at me. I wouldn’t because I’m anticipating the 5 rejections so I’ll probably start crying really badly:( At least that’s what happened when I got my Y rejection. I’ve prepared myself much better for rejection this time around so I’ll probably open them from hardest to easiest. But the easiest is still soooo darn hard!!! Why can’t the schools like UCs come afterrrrrrr the tough privates?? It would make the blow so much easier to handle.</p>

<p>Honestly, I’m being a crazy person and not looking at my inbox at all on the 31st. I think finding out through email kind of cheapens the experience; there’s nothing like holding your breath while opening that all-important envelope. With an email, you basically know from the subject line. I was surprised by the mysterious NYU acceptance email a few days ago and, aside from the confusion/elation it caused initially, I really wish I had only gotten a letter because I think it would have been more exciting. But of course, the Ivies are the ones I’m really waiting for with bated breath. Is anyone else being a lunatic like me and purposefully waiting an extra day to find out?</p>
<p>Well, if your I heard if your envelope is thin then you’re rejected so you’ll know in your hands. But then again, I have no experience with these letters lol. Idk, my parents are anxious to find out if I get accepted but it’s such a reach that i doubt it :p</p>
