This is coldad. For some reason, I lost my own access to CC, hence the use of my late wife’s login.
Hyeon Jeong Lee (aka sunriseeast)) wrote essays, email messages and postings on this site from the day that she was diagnosed with cancer till a few weeks before she died. I’ve edited a selection of the writing and I plan to publish them. First in a blog post and then in a book.
If you send me a PM, I would be happy to share the link to her blog.
My hope that sharing her writing may help some people to find peace and beauty in the most unexpected life circumstances…
How kind of you to share this! I plan to take a look at her blog …thank you!
Edited to say I read the blog entry - may I tell you that Sunrise was as beautiful on the outside as she was on the inside! It is a pleasure to see a photo of her. <3
I have thought of her and your family so often. Sunriseeast lives on in your hearts and now in her blog. She had a most beautiful talent and her messages touched all of us. Her insight, love for her family, courage, grace and words were and will be an inspiration to all those who read them. Thank you for sharing them with us.
What a lovely thing! I have thought, many times, of sunriseeast and have wondered about her family. Thank you very much for finding a way to share her thoughts and writings with a larger audience.
Hope you and your sons are doing well. I am sure your sons are making her proud. I read her posts and was very moved by her strength and her love for her family.
Coldad, I’d be honored to read your dear wife’s writing again. She was such an inspiration and I miss her greatly. She loved you and your sons so much, and was tremendously proud of all of you. I hope you are well.
I thought of her the other day when I discovered her email address still in my contact list (deleted it of course). And now this thread. I hope you and your sons are doing well- by now the boys must be well on their chosen paths. Sounds like they had two great parents growing up. Good luck to you all.
I still have a short note pinned to my study wall, that simply says “sunriseeast.” And once in a while, I would check to see if you had posted. What an inspiration she was and remains. I hope you know how she did touch us all.
Would like to read the blog.
Thank you for thinking of us. And we hope you are well, too.

I remember sunriseeast with great affection. Please send me the link to this wonderful blog created by her husband for her old circle of friends on CC.
