Theater/Drama Colleges Part 10

By the way, for those who expressed concerns about my illness, I was diagnosed as ‘clean’ yesterday. I am feeling good, which means that I am now going to have to go here and there with my S to audition. So far, my wife has been carrying the load. She, however, will get him to FSU in Jan. (acting), since she attended FSU in the late sixties, and has not been back since.
We are auditioning at Penn State (BA, Acting), Syracuse, Rutgers, UCONN, and Hartt. We plan to catch Guthrie, Evansville, Otterbein, Purchase, and Utah at Chicago Unifieds, and, if frequent flier miles are left, we will audition with Arizona. We (wife and S) recently visited two LACs; Bennington College and Franklin & Marshall. That’s a lot of submissions. We may break the submission record. In fact, just to increase the probability that there is a home somewhere, we already/will applied to a few non-audition BFA programs: entertaining West Virginia, Buffalo, Marietta, Wyoming, and Montana. I would still like to get a discussion going on programs like the latter ones listed, as there seem to be some hidden gems out there. True, they may not have brand ID, and may not lanunch S/D into an acting career, but they seem to offer great teaching, facilities, and in-program opportunities.
