Theater/Drama Colleges Part 11

Congrats Hampton on your son’s acceptance to NCSA-my daughter attends NCSA and it is an incredible almost magical place. Top notch teachers! As far as post collegiate hopes, as with any BFA program the students are going into a very competitive profession. The alumni are great about helping the graduates network, and of course their senior showcase is well received by agents and casting directors. The alumni come back once a year to talk about what they are doing now, and my daughter said most are employed in the business.
We too are concerned about what will happen when D graduates, as is she, so she is taking a few courses this summer, but that’s just her, as she has many interests.
During the week they are very busy, with studies and first years have crew, so they are busy many weeks til late doing crew, and many times on weekends til late hours too. There are several places they hang out at in Winston-Salem, but most of the time they have get togethers with other students. It is a very small and close knit community so it doesn’t take long to make friends and get to know your classmates.
A car is good to have if at all possible. I would strongly suggest having one.

Best of luck! Feel free to ask if you have any other questions!
