There are really angels in the world

300 strangers turned out to search for this boy.

Any other happy stories?

Yea, when H had a bike crash two months ago, he was on a bike trail, by himself at dusk. We assume he lost consciousness. A good samaritan found him, took the front wheel of his bike, put it all in the trunk of his car, and brought him home. He said he offered to take H to the ER, but he declined (lesson learned… don’t trust the judgement of someone who’s just a head injury to make their own medical decisions). He could have just called 911 and left the scene, but he stayed with H.

I have met so many angels, I’d have to write a book to tell you about them all. Yes, there are angels in this world.

my friend saw a hit and run, stopped his car, directed everyone how to create a roadblock to protect the girl in the road, made sure nobody moved her until EMT came, and then stayed with her until they came

Yes, there are angels:

I have twice helped someone who seemed to be in distress (not life-threatening, just emotionally). Once a young mom with a baby in a stroller was trying to fill up a gas can at our local station. She was ready to burst into tears. I offered to help and drove her, baby, and stroller back to her condo nearby. She put the gas in her car and I watched her baby for her. She was so grateful for the help.

Another time I was in a long line to get fabric cut at Jo-Ann’s, with my number in hand. I got tired of waiting so I gave my number to a young woman at the end of the line who looked upset. She said, “You have no idea what this means to me.” As I was driving away from the mall, I saw her loading a young lady in a wheelchair into her car. Perhaps that girl was stuck waiting for the woman in the fabric store? It was a mystery unsolved.

I hope I was an angel to those young women.
