I know I probably created more threads than I should over the past couple of months, but the title says it all.
At least no other students who I can reliably confide in. I just started my sophomore year by the way and I can already tell that this year is a disaster waititing to happen.
With that attitude it will certainly be a disaster.
Please see the campus counseling office.
Sorry to appear negative. I’m just coming off a horrendous semester and haven’t had too much luck yet.
Check out the counseling offices on campus, they can be a great resource to talk to about any problems you’re having. RAs and other dorm staff can also be great resources when you need someone to talk to. Sometimes even Professors or TAs.
So tonight was something of a test for me. There was a reception for my college’s Honors Program (which I am apart of) and for the most part, I was frozen. Overall, it was mediocre at best and almost could’ve been a complete disaster. So yeah, large group socialization is not my thing (it makes me anxious) and a good portion of why I have no friends and no one who I can confide in 100%
MODERATOR’S NOTE: OP, you need to seek counseling immediately. Your school will be set up for it. My freshman daughter has already scheduled her first appointment for tomorrow, the second day of classes. I’m going to close this thread, because there’s nothing we can do to help you. Please call or email the counseling center immediately.
