They Call This Financial Aid!?!?!?

Yeah, grants and loans cover everything, but the amount of money they expect me to borrow is $26,822! That is over twice Saint Louis University (private) and Embry-Riddle (private, and even says they expect you to pay for your education in their handbook). Its 3 times the amount I would pay at Ohio State, and get this, over FIVE TIMES what I would pay at USC!

And I made Engineering Honors, so its not like they don’t want me.

For all the UIUC waitlistees, a spot just opened up for you. The weather and football team’s better at USC anyway.

Depending on your financial situation, public schools can often cost more than private schools, because they have a much smaller financial aid budget. UIUC is especially known for being stingy with financial aid, even for honors students.
