Things Millennials Are Killing vs. Boomer Use

No napkin holder in our home. I store a fat stack of paper napkins in the same drawer as my silverware so easy to grab when setting the table or grabbing a fork or spoon. The rest of the package goes in the cabinet below. I like having my table empty except for any flowers on it.

I keep a napkin holder so I don’t have to get up and fetch an extra napkin for someone who needs it mid-meal. Because I “host” every meal, it is my hostess’ obligation to fetch things for everyone else. This is my MO.

we have a wicker basket that H and I use daily–cheapo Target napkins.
Everyday kind of company gets the nicer ones
A real dinner party gets cloth ones.
We light a single candle for dinner. I tell H that I just still need this even if we are eating at the counter.
My wine tastes better by candlelight
