<p>Hey everyone,</p>

<p>I’m a trainee teacher from England at the mo and making YouTube videos.</p>

<p>My next video is on theme of “what teachers/lecturers do” so my question to you guys is what do teachers do that annoy you or make you laugh?</p>

<p>My first one would be “try and act cool” which is my first problem as a teacher lol. Another I got told was when a teacher is telling you to be quiet when the three other people around you were also talking.</p>

<p>So yeah, what do your teachers do which annoy you or make you laugh?</p>

<p>Assigns hundreds of pages of reading that never get mentioned in class or show up on the tests, or similarly, makes you buy a textbook that gets used once, if at all.</p>

<p>Gives you a grade less than an A on an essay without making any comments on it.</p>

<p>Holy crap, if you are going to assign readings at least mention them or make them tie in somehow.</p>

<p>Complains to the class about how many essays or tests or whatever they have to grade when that’s what they assigned. Or when they take months to grade things so you have no idea how you’re doing in the class</p>

<p>Totally agree with the reading lists. On my under grad in my first year I brought all the text books and then from the first year never brought another one as they just didn’t get used.</p>

<p>Any other things teachers/lecturers do to annoy you or make you laugh?</p>

<p>Agree with the reading lists as well. If you’re going to make us read hundreds of pages, at least have it be on the test or something.</p>

<p>Also, some professor/TAs tend to waste time and not even go over the lesson, thus, some students will skip class to learn it themselves.</p>

<p>Try to anonymously collect inside info on the internetz</p>

<p>Surely your average lecturer doesn’t go internet stalking on you?</p>

<p>Talk about their personal lives. I’m not paying you to hear about your foot fungus.</p>
