Those are very attractive but I always thought paisley was a print and didn’t notice that print on those shoes.
Apparently it is the style name. Like a bra called Tom (my favorite lol). Or a dress called Veda. ![]()
It sure is confusing with them have “names” that are also have meanings of patterns or other things. Oh well!
We just got back from a cruise and found these very helpful. I’m going to use them on other travel too. 12 PCS Travel Hangers Cruise Ship… https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BR9YDGF?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Those things are great!
As much as would love to be a carry-on only type of traveler, I don’t see this happening during my current reincarnation. Maybe in the next round ![]()
We have taken 4-5 week trips. I have finicky hair and skin. I’ve started using reusable yogurt/apple sauce pouches…the kind meant for kids food. They are airtight so the product doesn’t dry out. Easy to fill with as much or little as you need. Pack flat. They deflate as you use up product. Can clean by putting in the d/w. And since they are airtight they can be stored for the next trip without risking the conditioner or lotion turning into goo or a crunchy mess.
I always bring at least one sarong made of soft cotton. I don’t like sleeping with the A/C on but sometimes it is necessary. The sarong gets wrapped over my eyes head. Yeah…not a pretty sight but I also don’t get sinus or other issues, and it functions as a blackout eye mask.
And finally, this bag…I posted it somewhere a long time ago…https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B5GKKF4M?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_19&th=1.
I have it in two sizes. It has held up very, very well. Add a one or two of these to the handles which let’s me carry a sweater, a baseball cap in a secure manner.

Regretfully both items now show unavailable but you might be able to find them elsewhere.
Can you post a link to the pouches?
Ooooh… I bought that 17" backpack, probably per your recommendation ![]()
It is great and comes on every trip. Inside I can fit macbook, paperwork or travel printouts, a pair of small shoes at bottom, a medium sized packing cube of high priority clothes, ziplock of snacks and more. On the plane it fits under the seat in front of me. At airport I carry as a backpack or sometimes with handles slipped over the pullout handle of my suitcase.
Costco sells a Baggalini version of that backpack (I bought that bag, too, back then when @dietz199 recommended it and for a while it my work bag).
I request a wheelchair. Curb to gate assistance, often an easy seat change for free if preferred, very easy going through security.
It’s worth it to me to check a bag. I put my laptop and liquids I don’t want to have to measure and limit (sunscreen, etc.) inside, and arrive at my seat with a small purse and small backpack that fits under the seat easily. Of course backpack has essentials in case luggage is lost, plus my folding cane which I use when walking.
I keep printed boarding pass, driver’s license and passport in a lanyard around my neck.
These…they come in a couple of sizes

I love that bag/backpack too and bought it in 15” for my niece/godD and the 17” for me because the trolly handle fit better for my needs. My bag has aqua lining, which makes it easier to find things in interior than dark lining.
Are they truly leak proof? It looks like you have to press the seams around the lid? I use something kind of similar from REI, but it doesn’t collapse as I finish the product so I like this idea.
Walmart sells them in the travel size section over in cosmetics section. They do collapse as you use them and easy to fill.
The seam is at the wide end…opposite of the lid. You do need to make sure the seam is ‘clean’ when closing. So wipe off any product that might have gunked up the seam. I have had no problems with leads at the seam. I did have some leakage when I didn’t screw the top back on properly.
I got that backpack too! (Aqua inside makes high easier to find, as @HImom mentioned!).
I’ve raved about at work and a few people have purchased too. It’s been my personal item for many a flight on Frontier carrying my laptop and enough essentials for a long weekend (to avoid bag fees).
One of the things I like best about that backpack/bag is that it functions well as both and the center compartment is big so you have options on how you pack and organize. Sometimes I use compression bags and sometimes not. I tire of bags with too many separate zippered spaces where you have a tough time finding anything & sometimes fitting things.
On different topic - have any skiers used this to make carrying skis easier (or something else that’s effective?)?
I’m a semi-beginning skier looking ahead to a 2 month trip with lots of slope time. Honestly, one of the hardest things thus far has been navigating the heavy, wobbly skis from car to lodge/lifts.
Been working on building upper body strength but could use any help I can get ![]()
We have straps that Velcro that we put on our skis both top and bottom to carry them to the slopes. The straps then go into H’s backpack when we are skiing.
I have started packing a few thin velour clothing hangers in my bag ( they take up very little space). Hotels rarely have enough hangers.
If you travel at all frequently TSA pre check Is a must. I also love Global Entry.
