Things to "like"

If you are on facebook, be sure to “like” the Maryland pages…especially the one for
University of Maryland Office of Student Financial Aid
so that you get news about scholarships that are available to apply for

Maryland Terrapins
for news on sports teams/games/athletics in general

University of Maryland
for general news/announcements/events

Student Entertainment Events
for news on entertainment

and then check for possible pages for your major…I know about engineering, of course, so if you are a MechE student you will want to like their page
Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Maryland

and for engineering in general you will want to like their page
A. James Clark School of Engineering

for technology entrepreneurship
Maryland Technology Enterprise Institute (Mtech), University of Maryland

for robotics and other systems engineering
Institute for Systems Research, University of Maryland

for business students
Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland

(I’m sure other majors also have pages, but you get the idea…)

there are also pages, among many others, for
College Park Scholars
U. of MD Honors College
University Honors Program - University of Maryland
University of Maryland- Honors Humanities
Gemstone Program

The Farmers Market at Maryland
University of Maryland Education Abroad
University of Maryland Career Center

That should be enough to get you started on a search of your own for things relevant to you…it’s always good to get news!

Went through and liked everything I related to–thanks!

No prob…Maryland does a great job of really making information available online, but they don’t always do a good job about telling you that it’s there…
Btw, I forgot to add UMD Orientation to the list - it’s a new page but it might be helpful.

Bump.

Good catch @Valedictory‌ …forgot about this

No problem. Thanks for all your help around this board.
