THINK Global School's Age Requirement

The school’s website states:
“Our school policy requires that students be 18 years or younger while attending THINK Global School. If a student will turn 19 prior to their graduation date unfortunately they do not qualify.”

When I contacted them to ask why this is I was given an answer that amounted to that’s just our policy and no concrete reason was provided. I completely understand that they don’t need to explain themselves to anyone not in the least me but was wondering if any former or current students on this forum could shed light on the reasoning behind the policy.

It’s likely a social thing. If kids are not older they could/should be in college and can take advantage of similar programs. Think is special in the way they do it, but college students can do many similar things including attending a college in a foreign country ( not as part of a year abroad thing)

There can also be liability and legal issues that differ for minors and adults and can complicate administration of the program or create risks. But I don’t know if that’s at the heart of this program’s policy – just conjecture.
