<p>I’m a long time reader, but first time poster. I’m going to be applying to the Mississippi Teacher Corps. I was hoping to hear some advice in general. Thoughts? Impressions? Experiences you had, or someone you know, in the program or a similar one? </p>
<p>Also, part of the application process is to write an essay about why “you want to be a part of the Mississippi Teacher Corps.” What is the best way to write this sort of essay? (It’s supposed to be 1000 words.) I’ve faced a lot of adversity when I was younger, but I don’t know if this is the appropriate place to speak about it. Should I focus more on how I believe everyone is entitled to education equality? </p>
