Hello everyone, so right now I attend University of Texas- RGV (formerly know as UTPA). Even though I’m a second year my classification at my current university is a Junior. I’m currently a double major Political science and English. I’ve been thinking of transferring to a different Texas university: I’m between University of Texas at Austin and Texas State. My GPA is 3.51( I got a C in Macroeconomics(Im not sure if that hurts my chances)). I currently receive financial aid from Texas (Tasfa) which covers my whole tuition. My question is if I do decide to transfer after this fall semester would I keep my state aid or would I have to complete another Tasfa application (which I assume would mean less money). I suppose to simplify my question does my state aid only pertain to the university I received it or is it “transferable”?
